Re: Missing email notifications of new phpBB forum posts

Thanks. The board contains many forums inside. Is there a way to subscribe to them all at once? Not that I know of in a default phpBB installation It's probably possible with an SQL, or even with a php script, but it will take longer to write those than to subscribe to each forum 1 by 1. Alternativ...

Re: Phpbb 3.2.7 does not install with php 7.3

It's kind of ironic that the phpBB team always recommend that you update to the latest version of phpBB and even refuse to help users of older versions other than to update or upgrade and yet when there are newer versions of php or MySQL one is greeted with a "whats the rush to update" attitude. :r...

Not that I know, but subscribing to all forums shouldn't take all that long.

Re: Phpbb 3.2.7 does not install with php 7.3

I have several lamp systems with php 7.3 installed and I don't understand the reluctance of some to tell me back to 7.2. I have nextcloud and WordPress working perfectly on PHP 7.3 why go back to PHP 7.2 for phpBB? is it very much to ask for compatibility with it? No, asking is not a problem, but n...

Re: Missing email notifications of new phpBB forum posts

Thanks. How can I subscribe to all at once (single click or similar)? Plase, note that I am a newbie on phpBB. It's possible to suscribe to a forum but that's disallowed here I think (and rightfully so) because that means you'll get a notification for every topic in which there is a new (unread) po...

Re: Missing email notifications of new phpBB forum posts

Thanks, but I am completely lost. How can I receive messages when any member posts a message in any available topic or creates a new topic ? That implies anyone posting anything anywhere which is senseless because every new post will show an unread image in forumlist and topic list. Read through so...

Re: TABLE phpbb_topics_posted stopped working

I cannot figure out what the function of this table is, but it must be there with a reason That table lists the topics someone has posted in and will be used to decide whether an image with or without a dot is used (showing that you have or have not posted in it). https://www.phpbb.com/community/st...

Re: Missing email notifications of new phpBB forum posts

Worst of all, now "phpBB forum "User Control Panel - Overview - Manage subscriptions" only shows such such message above in red. The list of topics to subscribe no longer shows!!! And I do not see how can I revert or change it. There are no options for anything there!!! All this seems to me a reall...

Re: Phpbb 3.2.7 does not install with php 7.3

In my opinion the problem is not that the other apps turn or not on php 7.2, I can also put php 5.6, the argument is because the latest phpbb release is not compatible with php 7.3, instead of going forward it comes back it's logical? the remaining excellent free work done by the community. Re: Downloading Backup not possible - thoughts

... But to me that does still stand up as a "useful convenience feature" to help promote copying the database backups off the server. By giving site operators a way to "easily" still do it right there from the backup screen, provided they have software registered to handle "ftp://" links and the cr...

Re: Done 3.2.2 to 3.2.7 upgrade but inline attachments missing

A question I find myself asking is why is there an Automatic Update package that phpbb recommend you use if it's not a good way to update the forum. It seems like they are asking for problems to arise... I quote the Auto Update page: "This is the package that most users should download to update th...

Re: Missing email notifications of new phpBB forum posts

phpBB forum "User Control Panel - Overview - Manage subscriptions - Mark" shows all topics unchecked (not selected). When I select them all in page 1 of 2, go to page 2 of 2 and select them all also there, and then return to page 1 and then to page 2, they all show unmarked. So, such selections do ...

Re: Phpbb 3.2.7 does not install with php 7.3

the problem is that many run lamp systems with php 7.3.x and would like to have compatibility with php 7.3.x. why go back to get phpbb? For one phpBB 3.2.7 can be edited to work with php 7.3 but that would require really decent knowledge of phpBB3 and the php environment. And the caveat is that a h...

In addition to this. If you want to quote and reply to messages from different pages, just open 2 sessions of phpp.com, each with a (section of a) post you wnat toe quote in your reply, you can initiate a reply with quote from a post, select and copy the whole reply and then paste it in the other wi...
