Re: Will importing 170,000 posts slow down overall performance of phpBB?

And as it grows, will we also need to consider more than just a shared hosting plan? Many shared hosting plan have limited database size. 170.000 post shouldn't be a problem but depending how fast your board grows, it could become a problem. More important however is how active your board is. Share...

Well I am not so sure of that matey. :geek:
Everyone's entitled to their own opinion.
Perhaps Firefox Developer Edition (which I don't know) has different default settings?
Have you tried purging the cache (and also the browser cache)?

Re: Update from 3.2.5 to 3.2.8 fails in local

While trying to update the code/db from 3.2.5 to 3.2.8, the sequence displays screens with options I do not change, I go further at any step, then a processing takes place and shows result messages, then stops and requires a download of files. You are using autoupdate, which is too dependent on hos...

Have a look at my cookies
Your cookie domain is incorrect, it needs a dot adding to the front like “.cyberpcforum.com.
It is correct seen from my end (perhaps John connor already corrected it).

If I instead try to log back in with Firefox regular edition or Chrome then I am successful.

So the issue is very specifically with Firefox Developer Edition.
More of an issue for the Firefox Development Support than for phpBB it seems.

Im finded topics for that user that arent begin Re: You can't really be sure if a post with a post_subject that doesn't begin with "Re:" is in fact a topic start post, since post_subject can be edited by the author. Re: How many hours to build a basic phpBB forum?

If I was to ask someone familiar with phpBB software to build a simple forum for me can anyone say how many hours work would be involved? Before anyone says that it depends on this or it depends on that, I’m not talking of a forum that strays from the default. Just a straightforward phpBB based f...

Thank you very much for your reply. :-) I could rearrange some files and now I have new errors. Don't know really further... :-/ Those are not new errors to me. I saw these errors this morning (very early). And those errors seem to occur on a 3.0.14 installation (an intermediate update which went w...

This is my opinion, if the people you intend making admins aren’t computer savvy they should not be made admins. Make them moderators but keep them away from the ACP.
That includes revoking their founder status!

Did you look at your config.php?
