Re: Trying to copy a PHPBB from one hosting company to another

***similar instructions as in the previous posts*** I agree with Lumpy that starting by setting up a new board into which the old database would be imported is probably easier (and less work), but at this stage I would go for a 3.0.12 and not 3.2.5, just a ascertain that the 3.0.12 is functional. A...

Re: Trying to copy a PHPBB from one hosting company to another

When I go to localhost/bigdump it is saying connection refused. When I go to localhost:8080/bigdump it is saying file not found. So let me just review where I am at: 1) My forum is uploaded to the MYSQL server of my hosting company, but people here say the forum will not work because the SQL versio...

Re: Trying to copy a PHPBB from one hosting company to another

The mods table is an empty one. Now that I have the sql file downloaded and copied to the root directory of USBwebserver, what do I do? Thanks again for your help. In USBwebserver/root/ make 2 directories /Bigdump/ where you will put bigdump.php and your localhost.sql /forum/ (or whatever name you ...

Someone mentioned he hadn't seen a phpbb board in a long time.
I can't help but smile at such a statement. Since when is he/she blind?

Re: External pages logging users out

3.0.2 I'm not willing to give up the mods and start all over. I figured another way around running php5.6 thus saving my board, mods, style, and countless hours. Have you checked the extension database to see whether someting similar to those mods exists? Take into account that php versions < 7 wil...

Re: error log is huge

You can do that in ACP> Server settings if you have access. I left it blank, since the script (forum) in in the root, is that correct No, it should be / (forward slash) (like when you had your files in a directory forum the entry was forum/) Hmmm I opened the config.php file no where does it say an...

What page is that on please config_table is in the database script_path is a field in the config_table (config_table is a descriptive name I give since I don't know your table prefix : generally phpb...

Re: error log is huge

Hold on a minute I just realized, when I installed the forum it was in a folder on the domain "Forum" then a while later I copied it over to the root of the domain, there is no "Forum" folder on the site, could that be it. The script thinks there is one and how to fix this mess. Change the script_p...

Re: Uncomplete upgrade from 3.0.11 to 3.2.5 - You have requested a non-existent service "0".

Did you remove mods (if present) from 3.0.11 (specifically database modifications)? You could try the upgrade again, using the full package set, but before starting that. make sure to remove any install_config.php, io_lock.lock and migrationsxxx from /store, and empty /cache but for index.htm and .h...

Re: Not possible to determine the dimensions of the image

Please use the Support Request Template to provide the basic info needed so that support can be to the point. "images" is a bit vague. Which version of phpBB? You had the issue 3 updates ago, and then what, was it solved and reappeared now? What is "placing a link"? just a link to the image or using...

Forget it...My phpbb is just too old.
Thanks
Which version of phpBB are you using?
* And if it's too old, what's preventing you from updating/grading?
