You know in all the years i have used phpBB i have never encountered this issue until now. AOL is a nightmare. I do not personally use it but a client does and they are complaining that a forum does not work when it blatantly does. I have sent them down to the local internet cafe to see for themselv...

Its not a hacker as such just a kid following easily found instructions on how to deface the board of someone who can see no importance in updates.

Maybe its time someone worked on a mod that checks here for updates and disables the board unless its up to date :)

And i would STRONGLY suggest checking back here from time to time for UPDATES BEFORE things start going wrong. I mean 2.0.8!!! Should have checked for upgrades long before. So many people think forum software is "install and forget" when in reality its a weekly if not daily project to keep it up to ...

Bootenks I am sure IntegraMod will allow you to add this too.....I am going to download it and see if I can integrate it with integramod as soon as I have time.

From what i see and read this mod is amazing......I expect many people will use something like this soon enough.

Anyone tried this mod and/or got a demo link yet? Too many people talking about the title but few about the mod so thought I would ask ;) Also (and no offence meant here) but when reading this thread it totally put me off ever releasing a mod here in case I do something wrong and get jumped on. Mayb...

I am thinking you should be asking this over at the integramod site.

However I use integramod too well as well as phpBB. Integramod comes with a built in bot management system that often helps.

But search the Integramod site for more details.

Apologies for slow reply. There are 2 ways you can copy data the easiest is vie the graphical interface phpmyadmin provides. You will have the list of tables upon the left. Make a note of the table you wish data to be copied INTO. Then look for the table you wish to copy FROM and click its name in t...

So the forum is currently attached to the tables forum1_ and you wish the data in the tables forum_ to be read.

Well if you have phpmyadmin installed simply copy the data across for each table.

That should work

you sure you never put a clean install of 2.0.11 onto the old database that contains the version info for 2.0.10?

Or would the install automatically change the version number?

LOL triple post.

It is hugely advisable to upgrade to the latest version 2.0.11 as all prior versions have security issues. Should you not upgrade a few minor errors would be the least of your worries.

Why remove a piece of code and cause other possible problems when you can simply turn off gzip and hence skip that piece.
