Mobiquo is a third party mod by Tapatalk, ie: not phpBB. If you can't find out how to remove it fully maybe visiting their support site will help.

You could also try an email address supplied by your hosting account me@mydomain.com for example. Don't use admin@ or no reply@ etc.

Filezilla is a better bet as host supplied file mangers and FTP can also cause problems.

I think that's half the problem, you need to be an expert to use it like you did with the FTP method that I don't think many people actually ever got to work.

If you want file edits (not recommended) you should post in phpBB custom coding otherwise stay here for an extension to be built.

Dreamweaver and Frontpage are not good choices when it comes to file editors and FTP clients (find out why). See Tools needed to set up and customise phpBB for suggestions.

I've just been searching and it would appear to be a new Gmail security measure. Try searching the fault you get, there are a few good answers on the subject. Maybe this?

I used to use it all the time in 3.0 on my board and others, some of them very heavily modified, and it worked fine. After 3.1 I never used it again because it was no longer recommended to modify core code and the addition of extensions made it redundant in my opinion. When I see all the issues with...
