Re: Managing phpbb via CLI

You don’t need CLI at all to administrate phpBB.

You can turn that feature off in your browser if you wish.

Just out of interest what are you doing or what is the scenario when you get the message?

Re: Module Management MCP not working.

What were you doing to get this error, presumably an update/upgrade, if so from what to what?

Re: Reorder forums more than one position

I’m not aware of re-ordering forums any other way than using the forum administration up/down buttons for 3.3.x but surely it’s not that much of a major task to do it one by one? Once it’s done you don’t have to do it ever again? By other way, there are a mod to show the forums in aphabetical order?...

Re: Clickable phone number in the post

The answer is still the same as it was 7 years ago, typing the number like +44 123 456 7890 is clickable and the pop up is the same without BBCode.

This is on my iPad:

Re: Claudebot attack

You can try robots.txt to stop any AI bots, whether or not they respect it is a different thing. You could also ask your host as they may have something in place for this kind of bot.

This is easy for a bot, first try one, nope, try two, no, try three, doubtful, try four - Bingo I’m in!!

Re: Search Facility

Search for Sphinx, that’s what’s used here. Sphinx is selectable in ACP> General> Server configuration> Search settings> Sphinx Fulltext. But, it isn’t that straightforward, it requires some configuration from your end. For more information go to Sphinx . Is your hosting a shared account?

Thats exactly what it needs to be, ungoogleable, I found the correct answer to your Q&A first hit, if I can so can the bots and that’s where your spam is coming from.
