Re: Not able to install style with template inheritance

I think I understand but it will have to wait for later for me to work it out. I'll report back when I've had the chance to try again.

Thank you for your response, Lumpy.

Not able to install style with template inheritance

I don't mean to be double posting but I think I originally posted in the wrong forum, the style that I'm trying to install. I am having trouble with template inheritance and I think I probably should have posted here for template inheritance help. The theme I want to test requires prosilver template...

Birthdays at top in prosilver & subsilver2

How to move Birthdays to the Board Index Bar in prosilver & subsilver2. I found what may be the answer for prosilver here: https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=74&t=1347945 . So my first question is since this was posted in 2008, will it work in version 3.0.11? While we have both prosilv...

Re: Edit link in Welcome/Welcome to the xxxx forum

I've revised my post with the picture in it and inserted a new picture instead of what was there. We did it in the BBCode so that we could include the linkable text in the description. It was about 4 years ago. We've aged since then. Thank you all for your fast responses. We've just moved some...

Re: Edit link in Welcome/Welcome to the xxxx forum

To be more specific...
When I click on the Welcome forum's edit button there is no message in the spot that describes the forum so nothing to edit.

Edit:
Went to the Welcome to etc. subforum and found this

Re: Edit link in Welcome/Welcome to the xxxx forum

Nope. When I click on the Welcome category, there is no where to edit the message. If I click on the edit button for the Welcome forum, the message displays but it is uneditable.

Re: Edit link in Welcome/Welcome to the xxxx forum

Been there. No way to edit it. As you can see, at one time we were able to edit the message and we did but it has been so long ago that we are all drawing a blank on how we did it. Most likely using sftp but we haven't been able to relocate the file.

When you mouse over the Join our community today! link it points to /phpbb3 however the registration is on /forum. This wasn't an issue before but we've recently moved servers and don't have mod redirect switched on.

Edit link in Welcome/Welcome to the xxxx forum (Solved)

Before anyone logs into the forum the first message they see on the index page in the Welcome category is the Welcome to the xxxx forum. That message contains a link to the registration page. Where do we edit/change the link?

Re: Prosilver alt text overlaps 'post new topic' button imag

Do that now that I have it fixed?

Do you mean that whenever I use a png, by inserting that line in colors.css, I'll avoid the problem to begin with?

Re: Prosilver alt text overlaps 'post new topic' button imag

Changed the png to a jpg in GIMP. That got rid of the transparency of the image giving it a white background. Works fine now.

Prosilver alt text overlaps 'post new topic' button image

overlap.png I have been trying to change the post new topic button image (and post reply) over and over and keep getting the same result. Instead of seeing just the new image, I also see the alt text with it. I don't want to see the alt text. I finally reverted to the original post reply button so ...
