Thanks for tips, i'm trying them right at the moment... As for the last one (SQL_CALC_FOUND_ROWS) it is not specific to Sphinx, all three search plug-in (mysql, native and sphinx) have it. Hello, I'm running a pretty large forum (5 183 988 messages, 260 528 threads and about 100 000 users) http://www.homecinema-fr.com/forum/ We are using phpbb since the early ages and had always strugle with the rather poor search/indexing tool.
