IPB 3 to PHPBB3?

Hi guys,

Has anyone tried successfully to convert IPB3 to PHPBB3? I'm about to try the IPB 2.3.x to PHPBB converter and see, but thought I'd see if there was anything tailored to this? I don't want to lose all my posts from over the years!

Thanks! :)

Re: IPB 2.3.x to phpBB 3

I just want to say that Klia has been awesome, and the converting script Klia made worked flawlessly. I had a couple of small problems, but they weren't big, and Klia emailed me right back right away. What a champ! So if you're wondering, Klia's conversion script works fine for IPB 2.3.x to phpBB3, ...

Re: IPB 2.3.x to phpBB 3

Should work. Tried at 3.0.0 release. Thanks for the speedy reply :) No. Only with quotes. That's alright, I can live with that. With users changing their password though, can they login with the old one first, or do they have to click "I forgot my password" and go through that process to change it?...

Hi Klia. Just wondering if your conversion mod still works at all? Do you have any problems with posts gaining weird characters or disappearing? What about that password issue mentioned earlier in the thread?

I have IPB2.2 and want to switch it over to phpbb3 :)

Cheers!

Re: IPB2.3 to PHPBB3 Converter

I'd like to second this. I've tried converting from IPB2.3 to PHPBB3 before using the 2-step process (ipb to phpbb2 to phpbb3), but it stuffs up on most of the posts, and makes everything haywire (posts don't read properly, members can't login properly, etc.)- just causes a lot of problems. Would LO...

Topic Icons have disappeared in latest CVS?

Hrm, just installed the latest CVS version of phpbb3, and I don't have the option when writing new threads to choose a topic icon. Now, I've got the images there, and set to display on posting, and I've set the permissions to allow registered users to select a topic icon when making a new thread, an...

Removing the confirmation screen after posting...

Hey guys,

It's been a few years since I used phpBB, but I'm wondering how I can remove the confirmation screen after posting (or doing other actions) in the latest phpBB3b5...?

Thanks!

I'm an OO2 man. I do have Office2k3 Pro installed, but I just don't like it- the only good thing is the cleaner interface, but I'm sure the OpenOffice team have plans for that. :P

In my opinion I dont think no one should have a fire arm on an airplane. They can just something as simple as a taser gun which would incompasitate the "Bomber" long enough to get him in some handcuffs. Its just my opinion just dont flame all over me ;) While I agree that non-lethal force is always...
