Links based on groups

In proSilver (and most templates) you can only see certain links if you are logged in. Is there a way to have some links show only if you are in a certain member group?

Happens to me to. Any solution?

Also, will there be a future option to display only the first post of a topic?

Well...

The subject is pretty big, but it can be useful, as evidenced by other forum solutions. Instead of just being the generic "Reply: blah" you can change it to be a short snippet of your post.

Re: Digg Front Page

As an avid phpBB user, I'm kind of sad that I found out via Digg.

Re: Prosilver style: first impressions

I think the best part is that whatever you don't specifically like about this theme can be easily modified with very little work. I know most people will tweak a few things.

Or, even better, designing completely new themes is cake. Just in general creating themes for phpBB3 is easy.

Expectations are very different and support is a different matter with commercial software. The features claimed must work. There are legal requirements for things and so on. Essentially you know where you stand. Often times the support provided on this website is much better than what you will fin...

Um. That's not quite accurate. We may provide update paths for going from the beta releases to the RC and final release, but we may also not provide them. This highly depends on how the beta phase evolves. So please be aware that your test installation will need to be replaced/removed if a new beta ...

It's not known if Beta 2 will be the last beta, so the answer is no.

Why would you have confidence when they've repetedly said they won't release one?

It would also ban your moderator.

You could have your mod use a different email. Or you could just enable email confirmation, so these spam accounts won't actually be created.

It's not a black and white situation. Under the same conditions (same users, same types of users, same amount, same type of software, even the same software, same everything), closed source could prove more secure, or open source could prove more secure. It depends on the developers.

Label as "MSN/WLM".

If it's left at just MSN, users of WLM will easily figure out that they put their WLM user in the spot labeled MSN.

At this stage, CVS just helps keep the devs all working off the same set of code. The beta gets all of the bug reports, devs fix them (in CVS), and once a certain amount of time has passed or a certain amount of bugs have been fixed or whenever they feel the time is right, they release the second be...

OCBB is a branched phpBB 3 (Well, 2.2 when they started). Keep in mind it is in no way affiliated with phpBB.
