18k members (about 1500 are "active"), 900k posts, 4.3 years old. Currently we have 3 admins + 1 "tech admin" who only assists me with technical stuff, the codebase, etc. Additionally, we have about 8 moderators, but we could run with less. Our participation is at an all-time low...

Why they do this I don't know. I guess they think it's worth a try to get the admin/mod to buy into their spam(I know it doesn't make sense, but if ONE person per 1000 or even per million does then they make money). Could these instances be poorly designed "bots" just following whatever l...

A better question: if your hypothesis is true, then how do you explain why so many diseases in the era of modern medicine have already been cured/prevented out of existence?
