Global Mods Can't actually delete anything...

I have some global moderators assigned, and I gave them permissions to delete threads, posts, etc. They can go into the Moderator Control panel in the forum, and check the thread to delete, select "Delete" and click "Submit". It says "Are you sure you want to delete this topic?", and of the two butt...

Re: HIDE custom profile fields

THANK YOU! It was really imperative that I got this resolved quickly and you guys came through again! I used the code <!-- IF (profile_fields.FIELD_ID != "pf_student_number" ) --> around the entire show field routine and it disappeared! Thank you so much AGAIN mtrs! Re: HIDE custom profile fields

Actually - my bad. It's not set to either. It's set to "Display at registration screen: If this option is enabled, the field will be displayed on registration and able to be changed within the user control panel.". It is also set to no beside "Display profile field: The profile field will be shown i...

Re: HIDE custom profile fields

well I already set the hidden to true, but I thought it would also hide it from the user. Does 'Hide' not make sense that it means hidden? Anyways - I'm not afraid of custom coding either - I generally know what I'm doing with programming although my MySQL is very limited... Anyone know how to die i...

HIDE custom profile fields

I'm hosting a forum for students at my college to use and post in, but to be sure that they are really students from my class, I require them to enter their student number on the registration page, which I can cross-reference to a list later. My problem is that the Student Number field shows up in t...

'Hide' a user

I have a forum on my own website at home, and I have 2 parts to it. A single, HIDDEN thread for me and my girlfriend to chat on (strictly OFF LIMITS to other members), and a few forums for getting help for my classmates to use. My problem is that in 'member list' and when someone clicks 'find a memb...

Question about available variables...

I am trying to write a simple script. If the user is in a certain group (for example, group_id = 5), then something happens. What exactly is the code for this? I had this code, but then realized that it used user_id instead of group_id. What is the variable for group_id? $user->setup('viewtopic'); i...

Re: [BETA] Custom Title MOD

DUDE! Ifollowed the [very!] long winded installation instructions and was very sceptical about whether it would work (not likely knowing my luck) and how good it would work/look. Well, after who knows how long - I got the entire thing working on my first attempt!!!!!! I saw how the HTML part worked ...
