Re: session_create() question

Is there will be any security issues by doing simple update session_user_id field instead of delete guest session and add new one when user log in? Anyone can help?

session_create() question

Hi,

why when we create session, old session is deleted before adding new? I mean, why not simply update guest session to user session by update session_user_id field?

Difference between "=" and "&="

Like in topic title.. What's the difference between using "=" and "&="?

Example:
foreach ($ar as $k => $v)
{
$row &= $rowset[$k];
[...]
}
foreach ($ar as $k => $v)
{
$row = $rowset[$k];
[...]
}
Any help will be appreciated ;d

unique_id() - can be faster?

unique_id() need 2 queries to execute for get pseudo rand seed. I think it can be done with one query to config table but I don't know if its still secure so.. I've updated this funcation to something like this:

Code: Select all

removed ;D
My question is, It's still secure?

Re: Any RegEx Experts ?

You dont need to use regex for that. preg_* functions is slow.. try strlen

Re: add_form_key before or after?

It doesn't really matter, add_form_key simply calculates the key and assigns it to the template array. Sure you can optimise things a bit by calling that function only when needed thus not on the "submit" page, although I don't believe you'll really notice this "optimisation" yeah but.. its always ...

add_form_key before or after?

add_form_key() function should be called before or after check_form_key() ?

I think its good optimizing way is to put it after ;]
