I can confirm the following: 1) On my VM Win XP with MSIE Beta7 - I get the page not found error 2) On my home XP PC with MSIE 6 - I get looping page refreshes that require hitting "stop" on every page load - it just refreshes over and over quite fast. 3) At least two users have reported that they h...

MSIE page refresh prob post php4->5 with an unmodded 2.0.

I upgraded my server from php4 to php5 after researching and finding that with fully up to date versions it "should just work" and indeed, my gallery, the 2.0.17 board (lightly modded) worked just fine. My heavily modded board yielded only a white screen and no error logs or anything despite my ever...

Lots, its liklie to be associated with the auction mod which I have not been using but now completely disabled - PCP, APM, Banners, topics on index, announcements, and on and on. As I say I don't think this is actually a phpBB problem so much as security on my server but I just wanted something to b...

"white Hat" defacing

Probably my bad - permissions or something but I have just finished cleaning up after a guy who claims that his exploit is as a result of not having an up to date phpBB - I am running 2021 but I have lots of mods and am not a security guru anyway... Just in case this means anything to anyone here I ...

Did you have any PM issues? If so how did you correct them? No PM issues as such to do with the upgrade from 2017 to 2020 but then again I am using APM and I had to do lots of work to iron the bugs out of that - I think some of them are detailed on RPGnet board but it is too long ago now to remembe...

I threw caution to the wind and did a consecutive upgrade to my fully functional 2.0.17 board with PCP and APM and Calendar and heaps of others, to 2.0.18, 2.0.19 and finally 2.0.20 and the only thing I have had to look into is the signatures now incorrectly escape apostropies thus : \'\' I am looki...

Yeah, I thought it would be at the top of that somehow: <h1>{L_CONFIGURATION_TITLE}</h1> <p>{L_CONFIGURATION_EXPLAIN}</p> <form action="{S_CONFIG_ACTION}" method="post"><table width="99%" cellpadding="4" cellspacing="1" border="0" align="center" class="forumline"> <tr> <th class="thHead" colspan="2"...

Post upgrade 2.0.17 -> 2.0.20 - admin panel artifact

OK, having read the where to post what guidelines I know that there is no place on phpBB.com to post this question depending on how you look at my problem. I do have mods on my board - but prior to manually upgrading from 2.0.17 to 2.0.20 version by version I am left with only one problem - probably...

Riamus, thanks for your confirmation of what is happening on your site. I take it from your meaning that you are not using the Adv PM system by Ptiirik. It does not work on his board either so I guess it is something to do with that mod. This is helpful to narrow it down without having to do lots of...

I can't find reference to this anywhere here or on RPGnet so I may as well ask: On my board which uses PCP2.0.0-1 and APM0.0.7 the PM button for a user (in the topic view or their profile) redirects to a new PM but does not populate the recipient field with the username of the user you clicked.... A...

This mod is excellent; I was having major trouble with editing and quoting with iMinimise (despite the changelog mentioning these types of issues being fixed) and I removed it and put this one in and I have to say it is outstanding. The most important thing is that it works retrospectively so old im...

It's simply not possible to design, implement and release a perfect, fully secure and immutable product. Commercial products usually lag well behind the discovery of exploits not only in the implementation of the software but the underlying architecture they are built on. Like in our case php, apach...
