Re: Deleting orphaned topics

Thank you, this completely solves the problem. Is the suggested fix always to disprove spammy posts before deleting users and their posts?

Deleting orphaned topics

Hi there, I am just completing some routine maintenance on my forum. In doing so, I have come across 4 topics which I am unable to remove from the moderation queue. I suspect that the mod's deleted the users (and their posts) whilst the post/topic IDs were retained in some sort of moderation queue d...

Language parsing errors following upgrade

Hi, I have recently updated my forum installation. Now, when logging onto the ACP, the language titles display 'raw' and not parsed. The attached file demonstrates this. I used the Changed File generator and uploaded the files manually via FTP. -- Support Request Template What version of phpBB are y...

[SOLVED] ACP Language strings not parsing

Hi, I recently updated from phpBB 3.0.9 to 3.0.10. I used the FTP method to replace the existing files. The update went smoothly, however, when I now log into the ACP it looks like this: http://cl.ly/3W0F1O1W0T130K193H1u I have attempted to search the forum and Google, however, am unsure what search...

Re: phpBB2 conversion from one domain to another

Fixed it by using ../../../../domains/domainOLD.co.uk/html/forum

Hope this helps other users!

phpBB2 conversion from one domain to another

Hello, I am finally updating from phpBB2 to phpBB3. However, the phpBB2 board is located at domainOLD.co.uk/forum and the new installation is at domainNEW.co.uk/forum. Both the installs are on the SAME server, but hosted under different domains. Can I still do the conversion using the tool? What exa...

Re: [RC11] Smartfeed for phpBB 3

Hi Mark, I wondered whether there would be any (code) conflicts with this MOD and the ATOM feed that phpBB have recently announced?

How reliable is auto-update?

Hi guys, I'm sorry if this has been asked previously, although I did do a quick search on Google. I wondered how reliable the phpBB3 auto-update facility is? At the minute I have 1 mod installed (Smartfeed) and I usually just upload the changed files and then reinstall the mod. I'm not sure whether ...

Re: Replace URL/String in entire phpBB3 database

Sorry to bring this up again. It has been suggested that I use '.' instead of '.' when running the query noted above. However doing this returns no matches, and I have to revert to using the literal '.'. Is this lack of encoding necessary if the query is being run directly from phpMyAdmin? Also, ...

Re: [RC10] Smartfeed for phpBB 3

Thanks for responding Mark. But the maximum posts field will often return the same thread. What I was hoping for was a setting which returned unique threads. I think at the moment, if 50 responses are made in a thread, then the RSS feed will be populated by those 50 responses. Is there a way to crea...

Re: [RC10] Smartfeed for phpBB 3

Hi Mark, Thank you for your wonderful work on this MOD. I've just installed it on a development board, and had a couple of questions, which I hope you might be able to help with! I'm currently running phpBB 2 on my live board, and use a different RSS builder. Similar to your MOD, it allows users to ...
