Unfortunately, it hasn't been updated in a while because PHPBB has been integrated with 3 other pieces of software... I have a couple of minor mods installed. I guess I could always hire a programmer to solve this for us. :) And that is good to know about the version - I changed it to prevent hacker...

Fatal error: Allowed memory size - This might help you

I have spent many hours reading through the forums about errors like the one below: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted It appears that the causes vary widely, but in most of the threads I have read, nothing helped. I came across something interesting today that you might wan...

Sharing forum with 2 sites

Hello, I have 2 sites sharing one database and I am having a couple of problems.. 1) When a user finishes registering or logging in on siteB, they are redirected to siteA. 2) I would like both forums to share the same image gallery. I found the following code in viewtopic.php: $poster_avatar = ( $bo...

Personally, I think that dog cow's ideas have plenty of merit.. I have been hacked plenty of times in the past and I am quite sure that it has ALWAYS been a script kiddie, never a pro. Subterfuge may deter a script kiddie and at least minimize the damage they can do. I think it is worth the effort d...

You probably should have started a separate topic since your request has nothing to do with mine. :)

Add HTML code to registration page

Hello,

I am wondering if there is an easy way to add some HTML code to the post-Registration page that informs users that their confirmation email has been sent.

Thanks!

OK.. I found it.. In posting.php, I changed:

Code: Select all

'S_HTML_CHECKED' => ( !$html_on ) ? 'checked="checked"' : ''
To

Code: Select all

'S_HTML_CHECKED' => ( !$html_on ) ? '' : '',
:)

HTML Checkbox

Hello,

I would like the default setting for "Disable HTML in this post" to be unchecked when posting a topic at posting.php. I have enabled HTML in the admin panel and it works fine, but I do not want to have to uncheck this checkbox everytime I want to post HTML. Any ideas how to do this?

Thanks!!!

I don't have any screenshots at the moment.. Darlantan - The answer is yes to your first 3 questions and probably no to the 4th. If you want to see PHPLists features, just go to http://tincan.co.uk/phplist Netclectic.. I have a Zip file that contains the instructions, files to add, and extensive doc...

Newsletter mod needs fearless leader

Hello, I hope I am posting in the right place. I have been wanting a newsletter mod for PHPBB for a long time. I got tired of waiting and hired a programmer to develop one and it turned out awesome. I am assuming that there are still plenty of people that would like something like this. Here is the ...

SHS, Can you please move this to the appropriate forum then? It still hasn't answered my question. The links provided explain how to share the users database. I need to share posts too. Ron2k, Get it to share the tables that posts are contained in, which I THINK are phpbb_forums, phpbb_posts and php...
