Re: Template style not being called

I recall seeing something like this happen... the problem seems to be that the URLs for the CSS files are assigned as relative URLs, meaning that it will only work properly if the generating PHP file is in the same directory as index.php. It's possible to fix that so that it works for scripts outsid...

Creating a forum

I'm building a site based around phpBB, and one thing I need to automate is adding a forum and setting a particular user as a moderator. Is there a function to do this, or will I need to run SQL queries myself? Let me explain more precisely. There are three forums pre-existing; I'll call them A, B, ...

Re: Adding html to overall header- question

ugh. Inside the folder called 'styles' there is a folder I put in called "teal_pearl" which is the style Im using. Inside the "teal_pearl" folder there is one called 'template'. I know because I see it every time I go in there. THAT is where the overallheader file is....THAT is ...

Re: Adding html to overall header- question

with the code in the overall header that pointed to image that was in the style folder, I can't believe no-one noticed this before. You say you put the image in the style folder? If that's true, it's why the image was not found; your HTML code specified that the image should be found in the same fo...

Re: [BETA] AJAX Chat/Shoutbox MOD 2.0.0 Beta 8

I installed this on my forum but there's no real "break" between different users nor is there any different backgrounds for them: http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/7879/screenshothlb.jpg Is this something everyone just needs to modify for their particular forum? If so, where do I make the ...

Re: Add a custom BBcode not by ACP

I'm also going to test one that might depend on the bbcode_bitfield variable. Well, it worked almost as I expected; the only amendment is that I had to pass a third argument, true, to bbcode_tpl, to get it to bypass the template_bitfield check and load unconditionally from the template. I wasn't ab...

Re: [BETA] AJAX Chat/Shoutbox MOD 2.0.0 Beta 8

It might be spelt "colors" rather than "colours"? Regardless, I'm pretty sure you're just supposed to add that line at the end of the stylesheet.css file.

Re: Add a custom BBcode not by ACP

...what on earth have you done there? All I see is random gibberish. This SQL adds the BBcode CENTER :? , only... But there's no logical way I could be expected to type out that SQL statement. The function is to add in install.php, I think. ...That is not the question I asked. EDIT: I finally got a...

Re: [BETA] AJAX Chat/Shoutbox MOD 2.0.0 Beta 8

Not exactly a bug, but the download link in the first post did not come with chat icon for subsilver2. I went ahead and made one myself ; if you want to include it in your package, that's okay with me. It's basically the prosilver FAQ icon minus the question mark, scaled down to fit into the little ...

Re: Add a custom BBcode not by ACP

Vinny, the BBCodes I want to add don't quite fit the restrictions imposed by the ACP. One of them might be possible to add by SQL, since the only problem is that I want it to have no end tag. The others, though, require access to info not available to the custom BBCodes stored in the database (such ...

Re: Add a custom BBcode not by ACP

I did not understand if the questions are directed at me! My only problem is to replace with the elements that are present in an array! The questions were directed not to you, but to the people here who know more about how phpBB works. You can't do that, you MUST use the DB AFAIK. :geek: Not so; th...

Re: Add a custom BBcode not by ACP

No answer? There are a few questions in particular that I'm wondering about. If I were to add a BBCode in the manner described in the previous post, do I need to worry about the bbcode_bitfield? BBCode ID conflicts... when adding a new BBCode through the control panel, does phpBB retrieve the list o...

Re: Add a custom BBcode not by ACP

I've been looking into this myself recently, and from what I can tell there are several things you will need to do (in no particular order): In the function bbcode_cache_init() in bbcode.php, there's a giant switch statement. Just before the "default:" line, add something like the followin...
