Re: How to block users geographically?

I've just received this bit of code from my webhost. Would this work to block out any countries I want? What if the unwanted visitor is from a different country and keeps changing their IP? Provided your website isn’t intended for visitors from that country, you can easily use the GeoIP tool to bloc...

Re: How to block users geographically?

Just upgraded to latest version in the hopes of fixing what might be security flaws from my previous version. What security flaws? In other words, I'm grasping at straws here doing anything I can think of that might fix my issues. Is Cloudflare my only option for blocking users geographically? Woul...

How to block users geographically?

Just upgraded to latest version in the hopes of fixing what might be security flaws from my previous version. That did not help apparently. I'm being flooded by "Guests" on my forum slowing down the bandwidth big time. I might have 4 registered users online and upwards of a 1000 "guests". I've done ...

Update stuck at "continue update process"

Upgrading from 3.2.0 to 3.2.8 with the specific download pack for this version. I used the instructions for installs with mods already done on previous version. My update is stuck at the files update screen. It's asked me to download modified files and upload them to their respective directories, wh...

Re: How can I host my own photos?

If I go the route of the attachment system, can I set it up as only available for certain groups? Or is that a global thing and all of a sudden everyone can upload pretty much anything?

How can I host my own photos?

Hey guys, sick and tired of the Photobucket BS and can't seem to find an easy intuitive photo server out there that plays well with my forum. At this point i'm thinking of hosting my own photos to my website to embed to my forum posts. Does anyone know what I would have to do to do that? Where would...

Re: Update issue

I had prosilver special edition installed as a default style which didn't play well with the software once updated. Once I switched the default style back to (original) prosilver it went back to normal. I then had to delete special edition and reload it to make it work again.

Re: Update issue

Well someone told me the issue might be an extension. I deactivated the viglink extension which was the only one I had on and the debug message is gone. However my forum is now in what looks like "safe mode" i.e. can't see any images or background and it looks like its coming straight outta 1995. An...

Re: How to see last post in 3.1

Oops! sorry, I didn't mention that in my first post, I'm actually on Prosilver Special Edition, that's the style in question that shows only the OP details in responsive mode instead of last post details like this forum does.

Re: How to see last post in 3.1

Thats a shame, so I can't really get a nice fixed pixel style that will give me the function i'm looking for when in responsive mode?

Re: How to see last post in 3.1

Not a big fan of stretchy style on my 24" screen. I do like the skin on the phpbb forum, how can I find out which style this is?
