Re: [Request] Integrate phpBB login with rest of website

So I managed to figure out part of my problem. I figured out how to add a logout link. $return.="<a href='" . append_sid("/forums/ucp.php", 'mode=logout', true, $user->session_id) . "&redirect=" . $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'] . "'>Log out</a><br /> But I still do no...

Re: phpBB integration

You need to add a space between your semi-colon that closes all php lines and the php closing tag. What you're doing now - statement;?> What you need to do - statement; ?> This might or might not solve your main problem, this is just what I could debug by a quick glance at the very first line of you...

Re: phpBB integration

make sure there isent ANY space before <?php and ?>, also use a notepad like Notepad2 or Notepad++ and sve in utf-8 without BOM I have never quite understood what is meant by 'no spaces' between your opening and closing php tags. Surely the code has everything - from spaces to line breaks - so how ...

Re: Separate the Wheat from the Chaff in thread view

This is just conceptual, someone else will have to chip in to expand in code what I'm theorising here. I guess what you could do is to add a new field to your 'posts' table in the database and call it 'chaff'. Make it a boolean or a char(1) field. If char(1) add a check constraint to allow only 2 pr...

Re: [Request] Integrate phpBB login with rest of website

Absolutely no reason that phpbb base code should need be altered for this. If you're using a custom header with login, the only phpbb edit is removing the quick logins from the template. Copy the code below into a new file. You pick the name: you'll be including it into your main sites header. Just...

Re: [Request] Integrate phpBB login with rest of website

Thanks. But what I'm looking for is to treat the phpBb login and the main site login as one and the same. In your example you're still treating them as somewhat separate entities. For registration, instead of not allowing the user to register from the forums and only permitting registration from the...

Re: hi i want to join my website and forum

And what should I put in a button's action attribute whenever I add a login button on my website (outside of the forums)?

Okay, and could someone from the Admin team please give me back my ability to edit my posts?

Re: hi i want to join my website and forum

Hi, It will be much easier if you can use phpBB3's user login / authentication system. Why do you have to use your website login system? It might be possible to transfer your current users table to phpBB3. Hi, Even I'm looking for implementing something similar. http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewt...

Re: [Request] Integrate phpBB login with rest of website

Thanks a lot man, but I guess I'm not looking at such complex functionality. All I'm looking for is this --> I'll add a header to all my website's pages that shows either of two things based on whether or not a user is logged in - 1) A login area with two textboxes (username and password), one check...

[Request] Integrate phpBB login with rest of website

Hi, We'd like to integrate the phpBB login functionality with the rest of our website. Is this possible? And if so, how do we go about it? Our main website is located at http://www.mydomainname.com/ We also have a forum functionality on the website in the form of a phpBB3 installation at http://www....
