ok ty etha your post gave me an idea
i checked and yes it was the theme i was useing i had to set the board language to english british in order to get the buttons.. now everything is working properly

ok ive gone to the permissions and for the groups for registered users ive given them standard access pluss polls but still no button saying that can create a new topic or post a reply or anything like that is visable
I also gave admins full access and still nothing

users cant post

hi ive just installed this forum software
ive made a few forum catagories but there is no "new post" option so no one can post anything on them
infact i cant see that option aswell and im the admin of the forum...
can anyone help me ?

ok ive renamed my forums folder to old and installed the new v3 of phpbb as thats the only updat the fantastico my hosting company had on offer following the steps it says i can convert my old forums databse to the new one in the instructions it says about going to the convertion tab but there isnt ...

apart from my hosting company im the only one with access to the admin of the forum i do have a skin addon plus also a addon that stops bots posting url's but thats all and as i said nothing has been modified since i first set up the board im useing version (2.0.22) if i upgrade ( not really sure ho...
