Re: Free Text Editors

I'm surprised no one has mentioned jEdit . It's platform independent (a Java program so can be installed on any OS, I keep a copy on my jump drive), has built in auto-tabbing and code highlighting for 130 languages (including recognition of reserved words and built-in functions), and my personal fav...

Gathering Unread Topics and Marking Topics Read

I'm having some trouble finding the proper way to go about something I'd like to do. Currently, I have posts being displayed on an external page. I would like to have a div popup that displays announcements, but only if the announcements are unread. I believe I understand how to do this using: <?php...

Re: Titles are not displayed correctly

The first two you listed I'm not sure what the problem is. If you're trying to get this style to display: h2, .contentheading { color:#333333; font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size:1.4em; font-weight:normal; text-align:left; } from template.css (line 357) The problem is that this style a...

Re: Legend non-italic and bold

Hi Oliver, to get rid of the emphasized text you need to edit your style's index_body.html template. Find: <!-- IF LEGEND --><br /><em>{L_LEGEND}: {LEGEND}</em><!-- ENDIF --></p> In-line find: <em>{L_LEGEND}: {LEGEND}</em> Replace with: <span style="[your desired style here]">{L_LEGEND}: {...

Controls how many reputation points are given (or subtracted, in the case of negative rep) when giving reputation for a post.

Re: [Beta] User Reputation Points 0.2.0a

Least im not the only one having this problem why should another mod stop it working? There's tons of reasons another MOD could interfere. When one MOD is changing phpBB processes, another MOD might not get the data it needs or may not be able to output data correctly. There's tons of different way...

Re: [Beta] User Reputation Points 0.2.0a

Are you sure you set permissions for people to give rep? The reputation mod includes permissions that must be set just like all other permissions (IE. posting, editing topics, etc.). If you've set permissions and installed the MOD properly I cannot help you. You may have a different MOD that is inte...

Re: [Beta] User Reputation Points 0.2.0a

Have you followed the instructions to update your template files so you can see the rep mod on the forums? Have you set permissions so that you can use reputation?

Re: [Beta] User Reputation Points 0.2.0a

I just want to clarify, I'm don't produce nor am I associated with the development of this mod. I'm capable of making changes (know PHP quite well). I will make the change to save comments in the rep table, and draw them from that table. But I won't make any other updates for you because they'll com...

Re: [Beta] User Reputation Points 0.2.0a

Did you edit your template files? This is a common problem that results simply from not following the complete install instructions. If you use prosilver, open prosilver.xml to install the style changes. If you use subsilver 2, open the subsilver2.xml file.

Re: [Beta] User Reputation Points 0.2.0a

Sorry, I misunderstood. If comments are saved in the post table, I might be able to figure something out as a fix. But, it could make your MOD incompatible with future releases. Let me know if that's something you still want.

Re: [Beta] User Reputation Points 0.2.0a

If they're gone than there's no getting them back. Not sure what phpBB file handles deleting posts, there must have been an install instruction for the MOD that updated said script though. There's no way the stock delete post script would know to delete rows in tables it doesn't know exist. At least...

Re: [Beta] User Reputation Points 0.2.0a

Just to confirm, you are talking about your database table right? And not the table that's displayed on your forums with your rep and comments in it?

Re: [Beta] User Reputation Points 0.2.0a

I was concerned about the issue myself since I didn't want that to happen and we have rep given for posts that will be deleted or will be auto-pruned. If you could, can you check your database and confirm that those reputations are still there (and just not being displayed)? I know that the displaye...
