Re: Last Login Report

That worked pretty well. Than you. I'd still like to have the ability to use mysql, though, and get the info into excel. I'd also rather not give members the ability to change their styles since it can lead to confusion. At this point, my hope is that a person smart enough to change the style will b...

Re: Last Login Report

My memberlist doesn't show last visit - maybe because my style is subsilver2. What style do you use? I'm hesitant to change to styles now because it will confuse my not-so-technical users. If it is the style, could I change mine without changing theirs or the default?

Last Login Report

All, I would like to generate a report of all my users and their last login date, preferably using mysql (I have a very small user base so the number of users will not be a problem). I think the field user_lastvisit will give me what I want, but I can not get it to format correctly. Is there a way I...

Re: Searching for my own posts on PHPBB.com

I posted the same question and was told it was in other posts - look there. Unfortunately, "search" is needed to find the other posts, so it really doesn't work.

It will be good when it is back up.

Why is search not available?

Since the site is back up, there seems to be no search option. Also, the "View your posts" function does not work. Is this a bug or by design?

Re: Manage (force) user subscription to forums

Adding a record in the table forum_watch specifying the user_id and forum_id will subscribe a user to a particular forum. This can be done via a PHP script if multiple users and/or multiple forums are affected.

I just tried this, and it seems to work.

Re: [Tutorial] How to use phpMyAdmin

This was really useful - thanks. Is there a way to write macros or scripts in phpMyAdmin? I want to run a few different queries on multiple tables from time to time. Is there a way to save them in a program that can be run? Also, how do I bring back a query in phpMyAdmin to edit it and rerun it with...

Re: default subscriptions

This is excellent, and doesn't appear to be too difficult. 1. What is the difference between setting the user_notify field to 0/1 vs. adding a record to the forum_watched table? 2. Can records be simply inserted into forum_watched and then filled in with forum_id, user_id, user_notify to set subscri...

Re: default subscriptions

Can you give details on how to do this? I have only set defaults via the ACP, and have not made any mods. If changes need to be made via SQL (which I have used in Foxpro, not mysql), how is this done? Can you point me to a primer?

Thanks,
Brian

Re: default subscriptions

Is there a way to do this? I would like to change the default to notify for all forums for all users, existing or not, or at least for new users.

Thanks,

Re: Not receiving email notification of new posts

I am very frustrated. I can't get this problem fixed, and cannot find any phpBB experts who can help. Isn't there some kind of consulting group or someone I can turn to? The phpBB bulletin board has not been effective.

Not receiving email notification of new posts

I would like to be notified by email if anyone posts a new topic or replies anywhere in my BB. My understanding is that I would need to subscribe to all forums and set my "notify of replies by default" to yes. I have done so, but am not getting emails. Is there something else? I am having some troub...

Re: Guest user inactive and not able to be deleted

what do you mean? should the actual username be anonymous? are there other traits I need to reset (I changed things before I knew what I was doing - still don't, really)?

Re: Guest user inactive and not able to be deleted

I changed the name to "test" from "my_favorite_id". what should it be? Can I set it back to defaults via a button or something?

Re: Guest user inactive and not able to be deleted

I stumbled upon the solution. The username I wanted was assigned to anonymous, which I guess there is only one. I changed the anonymous to test and was able to create the user I wanted as normal.
