url on registration page?

Background... We use the Q&A spambot countermeasure. In that we ask for a authorization code which is posted on a thread in the public viewable forums. I need to include a link to that thread in the question part. I have tried using html and bbcode but they get parsed as typed (they are not clic...

Re: Default user settings

It also needs to be changed in /includes/functions_user.php You're responding to a 4.5 year-old post? Does it really matter how old it is as long as it is still a valid question and still applies? Is the negativity really necessary? I answered this because I was having the same issue and could not f...

Re: Default user settings

Oh, right. I misunderstood. And can I set the PM pop-up box to default? You can change this by changing the default value in the database in the phpbb_users table. To my knowledge there isnt a way to do it via the acp. There might be an easier way but dont know. The pm pop up is in the user_options...

Code: Select all

Re: disable links to forum shortening?

The code/url tags are not going to work for the objective here. I got to have this so that a post can be directly copied from the thread and pasted into an email. Using the code/url tags will screw that up. I am figuring it is in this section here (MAGIC_URL_LOCAL) but not exactly sure what to chang...

disable links to forum shortening?

How do I disable links that point back to another thread front being shortened? I am not talking about long links to outside sites where it puts the "..." in there. I am talking about links to the same forum where it drops the url and only shows the page. Like... http://www.phpbb.com/commu...
