Strange user_add function problem

Hey, I'm using the provided user_add function (located in functions_user.php) to add users dynamically. I'm having a really strange problem. In Firefox, when using the function, it works perfectly. When I test the page in Internet Explorer, it fails. It comes up with the default Internet Explorer er...

Re: Go PHP5

I really hope phpBB puts some serious thought into joining this movement. It would help it a lot and be a step forward for later versions of phpBB. Also, it's naive to think that this is "the end of PHPmyadmin". Let's say some people decide to make a fork (which I'm sure has been done a TON of times...

Re: Prosilver style: first impressions

First off, when I came to phpBB.com today, I was so shocked I had to check the URL to make sure I was on the right site!

It looks AWESOME. The site, and especially this new style.

Great job phpBB team :)

Moderator ban

Hey,

I have a quick question. Is there any way to set permissions so moderators can ban users like administrators can?

Thanks.

So far phpBB3.0 is looking amazing. It just looks like the team went through the list of MODs and added each one. I can't wait for it to be released so I can finally use it. Some things that could be improved though. How about more default BBCode I see it is still the same. How about BBCode from my...

If a user passed an incorrect forum id which he had access in, he may have been able to circumvict the checks. But as it turns out the forum id is passed as a SQL condition. As long as all topics are selected based on WHERE topic_id = supplied_id && forum_id = supplied_forum I don't see how this co...

No no, I assume it's using the forum id to check for permissions. Think about it, you can't see anything you're not supposed to. If it doesn't receive a forum id in the url string, it just gets it using the topic id.

This is the reason... for once saving a query to get the forum and supporting global announcements which rely on a forum to set the correct environment. Um, what :? ? That went over my head I'm afraid  . But it sounds important so I'll assume my question has been answered :). I'm not that fam...

Oh yeah, look at that, there's a CEO on their site, Matt.

I wonder if Acyd Burn knows him. That would be interesting.

Cluttered? Want you to explain that to me, because I think your completely wrong. Sure! When you're using it, it just seems like there's text EVERYWHERE. Everything seems complicated. Maybe it's just that the presentation of the phpBB3 admin panel is so superior, that it just makes the IPB admin pa...
