Re: SEO MOD

You should also reconsider having your copyright notice show in the footer like that. I'm sure you could imagine how the board's would look if every mod author decided to place a copyright credit in the footer. I kind of agree, I also appreciate the hard work but I'm not sure about the link. I mean...

Re: What does "Enable Active Topics" actually do?

Somehow related, is there a way to show the forum name under every active topic displayed on a category? Check here: http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewforum.php?f=49 We have the topic title and the poster name but the forum name is nowhere to be seen. :( I haven't found anywhere in the ACP to chang...

Re: PhpBB2 & PhpBB3 BBcode Convertor

A workaround for this would be: installing a fresh copy of phpBB3 setting your custom bbcodes converting a previous phpbb2 forum over the new phpbb3 installation However, for those who have already converted the old forum, a bbcode parser would be great I found this thread, but it seems it doesn't w...

Re: Replacing HTML tags from version 2

If you could, please explain to me what I should have done when I imported my database? I'll try: Perform a fresh install of phpBB3 On the last step, do not convert the old board when the installer gives you the option (but keep this page open) Meanwhile, rename the "install" folder (do n...

Re: Replacing HTML tags from version 2

Those chars are the bitfield, you'll find more info about that searching the forum. Anyway, if you want that your custom bbcodes get parsed, you'll need to configure them in a fresh phpBB3 install and then import your old phpBB2 DB. There might be a script that in some way re-parses all posts, but I...

Re: MySQL server has gone away [2006]

I'm having the same problem as well and I'm using the XAMPP package locally to do the conversion. It runs great for a while and then once it gets near the end of the PM section I get this error and it refuses to do anything else. I've set the timeout to -1 so I'm not sure what else to do. The board...

Did you set "Display active topics" to "yes" on both the category and the forum(s)?

Re: Automatic Update: RC5 to RC6 Collecting file differences.

I had exactly the same problem here, when the FTP step was completed the scan got stuck showing always the same text:
Currently having differences about 0 from 389 files collected.
After reading your post I was able to move on, but I think this must be some kind of bug, did you reported it?

I wanted to thank fishfreek for posting this about mod. :D
I was having the same problem and it worked like a charm. I hope we won't find the same problem again in phpBB3

Re: [REQUEST] Custom Title Mod

It'd be nice to have this phpBB2 mod ported to phpBB3. I guess some of the functionality could be achieved through custom profile fields, but it was nice to allow custom titles only for users with more than 300 posts or at least a month in the site.

"select language" means you should click on the language pack name. From there, you can select the file you want to edit.

Re: Could not get style data

I donwloaded phpBB 3RC1 today and I'm getting this "Could not get style data" error both in a phpBB 3b5 upgrade and a fresh install. Could this be related to the name change in the styles that came with this version?
