Re: Changing column width in topic list

Your icons in viewforum are meant to be 35x19, not 18x19. in the above named imageset.cfg file, you're looking for icons like this: img_topic_read = topic_read.gif*18*19 img_topic_read_mine = topic_read_mine.gif*18*19 img_topic_read_hot = topic_read_hot.gif*18*19 img_topic_read_hot_mine = topic_read...

Re: Links *within* forum always lead to login screen

you cookie domain should be:

www.davesmind.net

not the IP address of the forum. Your browser is blocking the cookie possibly because it thinks it is a third-party cookie.

IMO.

Re: Move "view unanswered posts/new posts/active topics"

I edited in the ACP Its version 3.0.1 ach. I never edit files in the ACP. It is far better IMO to edit them locally and upload them via FTP. Always. Otherwise (at least as I understand it) all your style files need to be CHMOD 666, or it just holds the whole file in the database, which is subject t...

Re: Move "view unanswered posts/new posts/active topics"

Thanks I will try it. I was looking for familiar words - like Board Index, New Posts etc  You wouldn't find them, because all those links are language dependent. If the user selects a different language than English when they register, those links would appear in a different language. So they ...

Re: Cannot Modify Header Information

That is two times bad :P. You should never use a fancy dreamweaver like application to change phpBB core files, always use a true plain text editor. And notepad isn't one of those. You can better use one of the editors in this list. Most of those will save files as UTF-8 W/O BOM as default, if not ...

Re: Cannot Modify Header Information

Alright, I got NotePad++ (It is pretty nice :]) and I saved common.php in UTF-8 W/O BOM, I got the error again, so I saved sessions.php in that format too. Now all of the errors are gone :D However, my session is still cut extremely short, for whatever reason, as soon as I log in, the next page I l...

Re: Cannot Modify Header Information

If that was the case it wouldn't say output started on line 1 ;). Nevertheless its something to keep in mind. haha good point. Ah well, I always go looking for those blank spaces whenever I get one of those errors, and I don't always pay attention to what line it started from. In the future I will,...

Re: Cannot Modify Header Information

You've edited the language/en/common.php file and made one of the following faults: Added content before the opening php tag, make sure that there is nothing before: <?php this includes spaces and white lines You haven't saved the file as UTF-8 W/O BOM. What editor do you use? Also make sure there ...

Re: HTML embedded player bbcode

nah, it shouldn't be, since you're probably the only one who is going to be uploading those avi's. In any case, that's what BBCode is for, is to minimize security risks. :)

Nice job on figuring that BBCode out. 8-)

Re: Move "view unanswered posts/new posts/active topics"

yeah, you're right, it's not too hard. open styles/prosilver/template/index_body.html find and DELETE <!-- IF S_DISPLAY_SEARCH --> <li><a href="{U_SEARCH_UNANSWERED}">{L_SEARCH_UNANSWERED}</a><!-- IF S_USER_LOGGED_IN --> • <a href="{U_SEARCH_NEW}">{L_SEARCH_NEW}</a><!-- ENDIF --> • <a href...

Re: dropped tale

ouch! You can't ever get a table back that you've dropped, but you can recreate this table. open phpMyAdmin and run this SQL query on your database. CREATE TABLE phpbb_forums ( forum_id mediumint(8) UNSIGNED NOT NULL auto_increment, parent_id mediumint(8) UNSIGNED DEFAULT '0' NOT NULL, left_id mediu...

Re: [BETA] AJAX Chat ACP Module for phpBB 3 - V.0.5.1

I posted a warning about using this! If you do it as instructed in the mod, you will overwrite your own configuration for a working chat. The chat/config.php included in this excellent Gedankenexperiment will trash your cookies, your logout redirect, and no doubt your whole day when your members st...
