Re: How to disable sending PM notification email when online?

I've searched the whole forum through before I posted my question, but didn't succeed. :?
That's why my post.

I think my request is quite obvious when it comes to a forum, and should be a built-in basic feature in a software like phpBB3...

Re: How to disable showing default user profile fields?

Thank you! Works like a charm! :D In the meantime I was thinking on it further, and found that displaying the Avatar can be individually switched off in the User Control Panel. Isn't there a MOD which controls the display of different profile fields? Standard/default AND custom as well? With such a ...

Re: How to disable showing default user profile fields?

Wow!
That was fast, thanks for the reply! :P

OK, so it seems there is no settings for that in ACP.
I will try to change the template file.

One more question. After the suggested changes will the profile data still be shown/available in other forum pages (e.g. user profile or member list)?

How to disable showing default user profile fields?

Hello to All, does anybody know how to disable showing standard (default) user profile fields (Joined date, Total posts, Location) on the posts level? I use avatars and my custom rank-image set, and that combination makes (streches) a single post quite high. If I placed them side by side, the overal...

Re: localhost subdomain cookie issue

No. You cannot use localhost as a cookie domain. You might be able to use an IP address, if you browse to your forums that way. Thank you for that hint. Using the IP address of my localhost solved the problem. And it works even with a dot (.) in front of the IP address as well (JFusion recommended ...

Re: Joomla Fireboard Forum to PHPBB

You are right, there was a problem with the cookie domain settings. Although I modified it as it is suggested on the JFusion board (with a "." (dot) in the front of the domain name), it did not work. I entered the values like this: .mysite.com/forum and .mysite.com/joomla. That is not good, the corr...

UddeIM PM conversion to phpBB3

Hello, I have successfully converted my Fireboard forum to phpBB3. As phpBB3 has its built in PM system it would be nice to use that one instead of UddeIM, which I used before the forum conversion. So I have a UddeIM database with 650+ users and a lot of PMs and I have my beautiful phpBB3 with the s...

Re: Joomla Fireboard Forum to PHPBB

I installed JFusion according to what is written on their website, with all the suggested fine tuning, etc. Everything seemed to work, at least by the configuration and the self tests, but finally it does not do the job. I can login to joomla, but I'm not logged in to phpBB3. And their site is now d...

Re: Joomla Fireboard Forum to PHPBB

Hello to All, I just registered to say THANK YOU to everybody who have made the conversion working! It worked for me with the suggested configuration (FB 1.0.4, phpBB 2.0.22). Still have some issues with character-encoding and the passwords. Does anybody know what happens with the passwords when upg...
