Re: Post button dropdown width

Ah! It's working now. Maybe my phone was caching the old file or something. Thank you!

Hi
Just edit files to correct the problem
What javascript are you talking about?
But "what files" is my question. I don't see it in responsive.css or buttons.css.

The files in the link Dan Styles posted are 2 .js files.

Re: Post button dropdown width

Thank you, Dan. But I downloaded, uploaded, cleared the cache and it's still doing it. I haven't messed with any javascript in 20 years so I'm way rusty on it, but the changes seem to be about the pointer at the top and not the width of the menu. I'm guessing this is a screwy @media tag somewhere or...

Post button dropdown width

Can anyone tell me where the "width" attribute is for this? I can't seem to find it. (The thermometer-looking thing above the doggie's shoulder)

This is straight-out-of-the-box Prosilver on phpbb 3.3.1 and a Samsung Galaxy7, so it's probably not an uncommon issue.

Sorry, I thought this was a topic about being locked out of your board.

Re: Issue logging in with Safari Browser on my new forum.

Same problem here but with Chrome. And from searching the site I see it's been a "known issue" for over a year and a half. It's a "front door of a business won't open and the owner can't even get in" kind of problem. Why hasn't it been fixed? My 3.1.12 board pretty much broke on a php update, so I d...

Re: quote remover

Nice that they're looking at it as a bug, not so nice that it's taken them 2 years to think about considering one of these days getting around to maybe looking into exploring ways of fixing it.

Re: quote remover

Who else is interested? The functionality will be in phpBB 3.1.6, you just have to wait until it's released. Good news, thanks! Laughing at the irony in this thread. Anxiously waiting for 3.1.6 so my users can't do this. And thanks for your extension, Alex. It sounds like another very useful one. :D

Re: quote remover

There are a couple modifications* I'd gladly pay a bounty for. Fixing a bug that I think should have been fixed before the software was released isn't one of them, though.

* Yes, I did mean to use that word.

Re: quote remover

In my world, you'd get an error message for quoting a quote. Most quotes are unnecessary clutter, nested quotes are even worse. It's a very rare occasion that one is useful. I don't think the software should allow them in the first place, much less give you an error message for not using one. I'd ju...

Re: quote remover

A 70 year-old woman posting on a gardening forum would prefer not to get the error message, and the admin would prefer she not have to attempt HTML surgery and leave broken [quote BBCode in her ote] post - or worse, give up in frustration and not post.

Re: quote remover

I'm surprised this something hasn't been introduced as part of core release. For example, If you have maximum nested quote set to 1, why would you want to include any quotes previous. And why should the user get an error message for exceeding the allowed number of quotes? And then have to remove th...

Re: [DEV] Reputation System

Because I couldn't install this extension on my board with 750 000 posts and 16 500 users. Oh, please don't say this is going to be one of those extensions that has to modify existing posts. I'd really like to use it, but yeah, if it has to add fields to the Posts or Users table, there's a good cha...

Re: Please Help, no idea what has happened

I'm also wondering if this was ever resolved, although clicking the link to the board tells me that maybe it wasn't. I'm also on Dreamhost, also running 3.0.6 (but it's an older install), in the same post count neighborhood as Mothers Meeting (as I recall from seeing the name around), and we're also...

Re: Unsubscribing users

Bump.

Nobody else has run into the problem or knows a way around it, short of de-activating the offenders or digging through the database?
