How to Restore Forum?

Hi,

I deleted several of my forums and sub forums. Now I realise that one should have been kept and fortunately I do have a backup of the complete forum on cPanel where I am hosted.

So, I would like to restore it but am not sure how to go about this. Could someone please tell me?

Re: Pruning, locking, hiding and SEO

Do the search engines go deep into the archives where no activity has taken place for yonks?

And do they keep stuff that was indexed eons ago?

Pruning, locking, hiding and SEO

How do the following actions affect my website's 'Search Engine Optimization'?

Pruning, locking, hiding forums. Let us say I heavily pruned some forums or even locked or made some of my forums invisible. :geek: Would such actions have an adverse effect on my websites SEO?

Image dimension problem

[img][/img] Im scratching my head about uploading images using the tags above. I get the message "It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image." but what I cannot understand is that it only happens with some images. Other times they upload just fine. Can someone give me a few clues ...

Re: Limit Specific Users Posting Per Day

There is a partially finished beta here and the author invites someone to finish it off. It is a very good idea! Some boards have awful problems with unrestrained ‘swamping.’ I know of one board where a single member chalked up 27,000 posts over several years. Other members get discouraged from post...

Limit Posts Per Day

Please look here to see an unfinished beta where the author invites someone to finish it off. It is a very good idea! Some boards have awful problems with unrestrained ‘swamping.’ I know of one board where a single member chalked up 27,000 posts. Other members get discouraged from posting when they ...

Assessment

My assessment of 'Limit User Posts' 10 post limit worked. But is hardwired. Would be easier if adjusted in the APC. New topic and reply buttons disappeared. Yep, good idea. However alert message did not pop up. (a glitch?) And quick-reply box remained, causing a distorted screen if reply attempted. ...

Re: [BETA] Limit Posts Per Day

... you can grant this post-limiting "permission" to an individual, or to a group. You can also apply the post restriction globally to every forum, or just in one or two ... Thank you, thank you, thank you. :) But please, one more thing: It needs to differentiate between new topics and replies. For...

Re: [Beta] Limit user posts per day 0.0.1

Title : Limit user posts per day Author : idiotnesia (http://mod.web.id) Version : 0.0.1 Description : Now you can easily limit user post per day. The total of post can be defined in ACP. Congratulations for tackling this problem. Some members flood the board with dozens of posts and drown everyone...

Split and Merge

In the case of a single post in the wrong topic thread, can I suggest a better way shifting it to another topic? Instead of calling up an entire string of several pages, finding the offending post, selecting it, splitting it to a temporary topic then merging it to a more appropriate thread, could th...

Re: You are not authorised!

Ive just noticed we have the same issue with 'Can send Emails' in User Roles. If disallowed, the link is still provided. If you click it, a message appears, "You are not permitted to send e-mail to this user." May I suggest that it would be better if the link was simply taken away? Gideon

No Access exception?

We have a hidden forum on our board. Only members of 'Controversy group' can access it. If a topic cuts up rough on the open forums, a mod may move it to the hidden forum where the combatants can continue the battle between themselves. A problem arises however when the topic starter is not a member ...
