External Usergroup Check

I'm using the phpbb sessions as a login for the member section of my site. Is there any easy way to check if the user visiting a page is in a certain Usergroup (I have a "Members" Usergroup set up I want to authenticate visitors through)? I'm using the code from phpBB fetch-all to initialize the ses...

Wow. Useful feedback! Thanks, I think you're right about the new feature bit, I'll get this baby into the database and then see about expanding it.

Check out phpbb fetchall, i think what you're looking for might be in there because they have a script to login to phpbb from any page on your site, so there's probably a form you could switch to hidden and pop inside a function. Or some hackish thing similar to that.

Little update. I've hammered out the kinks and resubmitted to the mod database(again...). The mod works like this: An ignore button is added below the users post next to profile etc. If you click this button the user is ignored and you will no longer see their posts. Instead the post text will be re...

I'm attempting to use this mod for a website I am designing for a small nonprofit org. The forum is to be open only to current members whose dues are up to date. Is it possible to generate a large number of invites and have them tied to a specific key, such as email or user defined member id. Then i...

The above should all be inside php tags. As long as you don't echo anything before the doctype and head information you should be fine.

Since I'm not in the position to support this at the moment my suggestion would be to go with the Profile Control Panel mod. I'm currently branching away from phpbb and will be coming out with divbb. It will be heavily based on phpbb but will use pure xhtml 1.0 strict and a tableless layout. Progres...

Unfortunately my computer has been kidnapped by my bastard father. So work on programming anything has dropped to a crawl. If anyone one else wants to use my mod and this one as a basis to making a new tarb mod be my guest.

Real life has, unfortunately, invaded my online work. Most of my projects have slowed to a crawl because I don't have the same amount of access to my computer I used to, and this wasn't very high on the list, sorry. If any other modders want to give this a go I'd be happy to offer what knowledge I'v...

The easiest way is when logging in kick the user to the phpbb login page and set a redirect like so: echo('<a href="' . $phpbb_root_path . 'login.php?redirect=../somepage.php">Login</a> | '); Then initialize phpbb's cookie: define('IN_PHPBB', true); include($phpbb_root_path . 'extension.inc'); inclu...
