Re: Is phpBB fading? What can we do for this community?

Im not sure why it still feels this way, but the 2.0 community board was much easier to find the information I wanted. I loved hanging out in the phpbb discussion forum and help answering questions but that part of the community is not really there anymore. I think the time it took 3.0 to come out w...

Re: Would you spend money for a message-board-system?

Gaia Online 1093004350 Posts 8298679 members HEAVILY modified and not available to the public. Gaia is phpbb2's singular breakout success story, and their forum is modded beyond recognition. They did a "forum rewrite" (you can tell it's still a derivative), and removed the copyright notice in their...

The color red means there is new post in that forum. The icon it self is for a forum with a subforum(s).

Re: Prosilver style: first impressions

I like it, I like how everything is aligned properly and how those curvy edges are done (Is the code for it in the CSS files). If we just downloaded the CSS files and images and stuff would we have the theme? -Aled No. I would look at how the 3.0 template system works. There are many more files tha...

Re: Old Phpbb website or this one?

Question for the team members: How has the new software worked out for you guys? I still haven't ran 3.0 on a large live environment. Are the new mod tools helping a lot? Just kind of curious if any of you would like to have a stab at writing a review on that. I guess it probably isn't too new becau...

Re: Prosilver style: first impressions

I am having trouble telling where one post ends and another starts. I think there needs to be a clearer separation. I had that issue when I first saw the style. Seems my monitor's brightness was a bit too high, and the contrast was too low. Adjusting those a bit might help. :) - Adam This is anothe...

Re: Searching "Titles Only" on this Forum does not work

Also to add, there was this post http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=527121 With the release of the new phpBB.com site, we have also implemented a new search. On the old site, users experienced many issues while searching such as blank pages or Internal Server Errors. This was becaus...

Re: Prosilver style: first impressions

I keep reading "the version here is different than the package download". If it really is a lot different then ill kind of be weirded out. One thing I have always loved was that phpBB.com also would look like the default install. Yeah I know the header was different, but below that everything looked...

Re: Old Phpbb website or this one?

Love it. Great job guys. The only thing I will need to get used to is hitting the new board index link. I kind of liked the big "community" image button they had before.
