Sorry it's not working for ya.

Also Some have said you have to have write access permissions turn on for the avatar folder.

It's related to the timeout and also to the upload-settings of PHP. Do you perhaps have shell access to your server? If not IMO the easiest way would be to ask your host to restore the backup for you :-) Well i'm moving to a new host so restoring the back up is not an option. I have a dedicated mac...

Break up the backup to 1mb files?? I am experiencing the same problem as hatesomethingbeautiful. My DB backup is 200MB. I don't mean to sound unreasonable, but breaking that back up into 200 pieces just does not seem right.

Is this a time out issue from php?

Thanks for the replies.

I understand that finding a mysql support forum is prolly the best place for answers for mysql. It just seemed that with all the sites running phpbb and mysql, posting that question here seemed somewhat relevant. If I find out anything i'll post it here.

thanks

Up to this point finding the table and running "REPAIR TABLE" option in phpmyadmin fixes the problem. My question is should i be running some kind of database clea...

Even though i'm past it, I would like to figure out what went wrong. How big are some of your boards?

I have 4800 users, 54 forums. I have a couple of forums that have 65000+ posts.

OK, I must be posting in the wrong forum or thread for help with this UBB.classic to phpBB converter. Can someone direct me to the correct forum or thread I should be using? **ANY** help is appreciated. Thanks! It seems that this topic has cooled down a bit. Graham is really the only one who helped...
