Re: Extension depends on another extension

You do not disable another extension. The extension that depends on another one, needs to be well-written with checks and fallbacks for when the main one is not present. Here's one example of such a thing: https://github.com/phpbb-extensions/autogroups/wiki/Extending-Auto-Groups#important-compatibil...

Re: Taking over an abandoned extension

Waiting the write access to the repository. Why not just fork it? I prefer not to fork it. So I make pull requests and push commits, but if Wolfsblvt has not the time to approve them, I will need write access and Wolfsblvt has offered it. Just suppose I fork the extension. What happens if in the fu...

Re: Dynamic routing

Any chance you could elaborate a bit more on this, VSE? Cause this is a very interesting approach. Haven't tried anything like this myself, but it looks very interesting! However I'm going to guess that I ( and perhaps others ) could do with a bit more explanation as to what you're exactly doing an...

Re: Dynamic routing

its a complicated way to set up routes in phpBB 3.2 where your route's url can be from the path "/{var}" so you don't need to use something like "/page/{var}" as Pages had to do in phpBB 3.1

Re: [BETA] Smart Subjects

I get an error when I enabled this extension: The permission role "ROLE_FORUM_LIMITED_POLLS" unexpectedly does not exist. I tried the latest beta from this thread as well as the current master branch in github.com repo. Same error both times. What am I missing? You're missing the 'ROLE_FORUM_LIMITE...

Re: sql escape question...

You have to escape the variables IN your SQL query.

WHERE LOWER(bbcode_tag) = '" . $this->db->sql_escape(strtolower($bbcode_name))

Re: Javascript - Ad Banner / Slideshow

I had a simple banner that works on another site. Its just is a simple fade between images. I tried to insert the code and create a banner above the header. But it loads all 4 images instead of fading thru them. Any ideas? Or is there a better way to accomplish this? Code: <center> <script type="te...

Re: Message adblockes dominantly on FB

The messages that are passed to FB are the warning to turn off the adblocker. Not a shortened piece of the message itself What can I do about it? https://s26.postimg.org/kldyj3whl/Schermafdruk_2017-09-03_07.20.25.png We can't control what Facebook decides to extract from a page, and frankly it's hi...

Re: [RC] Official Extension: Advertisement Management

We can't do anything about that. This extension accepts any and all ads, custom or from 3rd parties. For now it's up to you tomake sure your ad placement complies with your 3rd party advertisier's policies. For what it's worth, I've run google ads in the footer of phpBB forums for over a decade and ...

Hi, is this extension can prevent ads to not show on Sign-in, SignUp, Profile and UCP? Because it would be violating Google AdSense terms: https://support.google.com/adsense/answ ... tent_pages
What terms? Your link is broken.

Re: [BETA] Official Extension: Advertisement Management

Will their be an option for placing ads after/below the navbar? Yes it already does, or will, have that location. Is there way to make a 2 column div in the footer banner to post Twitter feed on one side with graphic button under it. And video embed on other side with a couple buttons under it...an...

Re: [BETA] Official Extension: Advertisement Management

This is an amazing extension. I am a newbie to phpBB. I have two questions: (1) Can an ad be placed between two categories? I have two groups of forums in categories and would like to split them with an ad banner. Is that possible? (2) Can javascript be placed in the code for a banner so that you c...

Re: [BETA] Official Extension: Advertisement Management

EDIT: The XSS_ERROR is only related to the latest Chrome-build. I used Opera and FireFox and could preview the ads perfectly without any errors occuring. After I had a little deeper look into what's wrong with ads not showing up, I figured out that - because I am using responsive Ads - there was a ...

It's really quite simple: {{ '{' }}

Code: Select all

<input type="text" pattern="#[a-fA-F0-9]{{ '{' }}6{{ '}' }}" name="mycolor" value="#000000" size="7"/>
