I encountered this problem also and had to find the problem and fix it. Turns out it was simply a filenaming error on behalf of the author: Open SkyLineGrey\images folder: Rename: folder_big.gif to folder_new_big.gif folder_new_big.gif to folder_big.gif He's simply got the filenames backwards for th...

Mark Posts as Read

Hey guys,

Just a quick question. How does phpBB determine whether a post has been read? It doesn't appear to be done using the db, at least I can't find it with my limited knowledge. I was just wondering how it does it?

Thanks for any help.
Cheers,

Re: yeah

why did they make it so that the new user is automaticly the new user without click the activate account link... Does it still act this way if you select (Admin) activation? I've yet to try that so don't really know. Just a suggestion. Yes it still acts this way, and I also have found it a very odd...

Thank you heaps, that worked great!
I tried the cookie name as forum.rayxen.com - obviously it didn't like having the fullstops in there. It all appears to be working now.

Cheers!

Topics 'Read' are Not Marked as 'Read'

None of the topics are registering as read. I read a topic in my forum and it just remains unread. Even if I click the "Mark all topics read" link the topics in the forum remain 'unread'. The only time that the topics will be read is when a member logs out, then logs back in, all topics are marked a...

Cheers mate - is that the only file i'll need to recover if I manage to do that again? I got my backup working and recovered it all back to normal. So it's back there, but i've still got the same issues I was trying to fix. Namely, topics are not being marked as 'read' even if they've been read. The...

Completely Killed Install - Recovery?

Ok, well I did something rather stupid and I probably should have thought about the consequences and checked the backup properly before I attempted it. Well I had some problems, I tried to install some mods and unknowingly I had transferred the files as ASCII with CR Terminations - now, none of the ...

Just an issue regarding the Language files. I believe the new 2.06 standards are that single quotes are used instead of double quotes? Is this correct? If so, should this mod be updated to have the single quotes? For example: #-----[ OPEN ]--------------------------------- # language/lang_english/la...
