That is simple.

Modify profile_add_body.tpl template file and there enclose everything between following tags.. leaving only those which you want to appear in registration form.

Had you restored your database recently ?
Also try repairing tables.. (u can use phpmyadmin)

Well, you can set permission for that board.. ie. do not allow members, guest to start new topic !

I do not want to BAN him, it was just temporary, but thing is that he activated himself.. that was bad.

Lately I was thinking to install it & should do now.. But what you suggest.. what are the other possible way to activate a user without admin rights ? One of my phpBB forum has registration approved by Admin only... had to block a user by deactivating his account. Later on found that it is activated again.. ???? Also, when asked him .. how ? He just said security ??? Now can anyone suggest how possible he himself activated his deactivated account ?

I installed this mode on my forum .. (my forum is heavily modded (I dont' even remember that how much mods) but bcz of its simplicity.. it worked.. I think that will require some database field update.. You have to find out in which table is used for subject .. BTw.. I think phpbb_config table containing feild config_name is one you shld look for .. it has current limit of 255 ! But.. I am not sure as not hav checked and I am also not a coder y...
