Well I think that is similar to what this board gets. Maybe some admins could take their statistics out... Yeah that would be fine... this forum is a bit more than 20 but at least then I would know a good figure to guestimate by.. It's 3:30 here and we still have 28 on during low end time. I've see...

What do you mean a "20 users average"? Do you mean there's a total of 20 visits per month (which is very low), or having 20 users online at any time (which is very high)? 20 users online average at any time.. no.. not visits per month.. that would be way low.. :) When I say average.. I know sometim...

Bandwidth requirement

I would like to see if anyone can give me a ballpark figure for what bandwidth would be required in a month for a 20 user connection average using phpBB I don't know how hard this question may be to answer so just throwing it out to see to know what hosting limit I would pay for to get what I need. ...

Mailing list generation

I know phpbb has a built in mass mailing support. However my page is located inside of a lan for now and I would like to just generate a list of user e-mails. I think this should be simple, but I don't know how to do it. Is it somewhere in admin panel or is there another way to do it. Thanks

Yeah I understand not having too many features built in. The one thing I am looking for is a little easier setup for adding mods to the forum, more similar to what vbulletin has perhaps. But since this is free it is already better in my opinion anyway.

How do I change the color for input text boxes

How can I change the color for this. I want to make the background of the input box black and use a text color other than black.

Is it possible?

Yes.. try this board

I came from a background of running a vbulletin board. This thing is even easier to install than that. Customization is a bit more difficult, but most of the mods here (adding flash support etc) are not bad, and they give complete instructions. If you aren't afraid to look at code, go for it. It's n...

I'm not sure why people get so hyped about the Calendar function of vB, it's not like you can't find the exact same thing as a different program in a script repository. As for phpBB supporting all the features that vB does, as I said before, it supports most of the IMPORTANT features. Some of the c...

Yeah.. so far this forum seems pretty cool. They layout is sweet and it has some nice functionality. The only thing I have missed so far is whether or not I can add flash support, and if there are any plans or maybe even a current way to add a calendar function? I haven't really used the calendar fu...

Vbulletin vs. Phpbb

I know this question has probably been asked before.. but I am very new. I am thinking about converting to this and wanted some honest opinions. I like the look well enough, but how does it compare in terms of 1) Server requirements How will this run on a P3 450 compared to 2.2.4 vbulletin? 2) Bandw...

if you have an atx case with at least a 250 watt power supply .. i would hop on new egg and get yourself a new mobo, proc, ram rig for around 190 to upgrade up to a nice clean 256 chip with a 900 or above proc. That would run the board sweet.. a little more than the pII 350.. but totally worth the p...
