Re: SEO MOD

I guess because unpicking it once it is in is painful?

Re: SEO MOD

Sadly not many responses on this thread...but I shall try another question! Why would the SEO Mod provide entries containing the session id, sid, through append_seo_sid? Why is the sid useful in SEO lists - I'd assumed the opposite to be true and so this shouldn't be done?

Re: SEO MOD

I'm getting 404 errors where it seems that spiders are looking for urls for articles in my forum with a hyphen appended, such as: site.com/forum/article-t5.html-. removing the extra hyphen makes the link OK. Have I made an error in an edit somewhere (where please?) or is there a bug I haven't correc...

Re: Essential Fixes to the SEO_MOD

It might help newbies if there was a sticky at the top to show essential updates to this MOD. Reading through the 34 pages, it is hard to find which ones were fixed in the proper release. However, from issues with my own forums, I have identified the following as the main problems which need to be ...

Re: SEO MOD

I have started to trap my 404 failures and have a few emails from Yahoo! that indicate something is wrong. Think it might be the SEO MOD. For instance, the following email came through after a 404 which I presume is Yahoo! trying to index my new site: 74.6.22.102 tried to load http://www.thewoodwork...

Re: RSS Feed 2.0

Think I have...unless refreshing the cache wrong..ACP->Styles->Templates->refresh. I have prosilver, subsilver2 and avalon installed and have only subsilver2 active. So refreshed subsilver2. I told the board cache, not template, go to the ACP -> GENERAL tab -> search for Purge the cache click in th...

Re: RSS Feed 2.0

I know, I know, sorry. I must be doing something stupid, but I have edited the rss_template.xml which is in /forum/styles/ (attached). I have flushed the cache. Is there anything else it could be that I have wrong/missed? That file is fine, try Purge the cache again ... and also refresh your browse...

Re: RSS Feed 2.0

Hi - any ideas gratefully received! RSS Feed is working very well except that I can't turn off the stats. I'm doing something wrong, but don't know what. Just been through the installation again to make sure it is correct and ensured that the mod to remove the stats is in place. Can't see anything ...

Re: RSS Feed 2.0

I have removed the appropriate code in rss_template.xml and flushed the cache yet still see this appear first in igoogle and new forum posts appearing second. Have I missed something that I need to do? Thanks Patrick Hi - any ...

Re: SEO MOD

Hi - just munching through the installation. I'm using 3.0.4 and not 3.0.0 which I think was the release that SEO MOD was tested against? Anyway, a couple of code fragments don't match, and I wondered whether I should your replacement or do I need to modify it? viewforum.php: Find: 'U_VIEW_FORUM' =>...

Re: RSS Feed 2.0

Hi - thanks for the fast reply. I've tried that and now get similar - but different. Some of the macros that appear later in rss_template.xml now appear. Could this be that for some reason the macros are not being interpreted but are being treated as text? {FEED_TITLE} - {FEED_MODE}{S_ERROR} {items...

Re: RSS Feed 2.0

Hi - probably a dim question - new to RSS. I've 1.0.4 installed and it seems to be working fine: I am able to sign-up to receive RSS from my site directly in Outlook and it seems to work fine. However, I have tried to route the feed through FeedBurner. This site validates all as OK but I think I se...
