If the prmission of index.php is 644 it's strange that it gives that error. Maybe it has to do with something else... I'm affraid I can't help you any further on this, man.... I hope somebody else can?

you should change the permissions using chmod in your ftp-client. Check the log of your server and watch which files do not have the right permissions... With me it was index.php and the overall folder "install" which was not chmodded correctly. To know how files permissions should be, you...

problem solved...I chmodded myspelf with the log as guide....Update successfull!!
