Re: Tapatalk security issue

I know, but my question concerns security precisely, in order to know if there is any improvement with this new version. When I used Tapatalk in the past they knowingly did not fix security issues. I found out one extremely bad bug that I notified them and they didn't fix it and so I disabled TT co...

Re: After updating to 3.3.1 I have problem with mobile menus

I was also having this problem, I thought it was just me until I got here. Glad to see I didn't do anything wrong and it's a known issue. I applied the fix and we're good again. Thanks!!

Re: hCaptcha instead of Google's reCAPTCHA?

If your a Clodflare user it looks like your gonna get it anyway. Kind of. It won't be part of the built-in captcha for phpBB. I would like to see hCaptcha put in the core code as a CAPTCHA option perhaps even in place of Google's version. I have 8 forums total that are configured the same but one g...

Re: Google webmaster breadcrumbs problems

There are more and more people reporting the breadcrumbs issue. How soon until 3.3.1 is released to include this fix and stop the new topics on this issue?

Re: Automatic Update from 3.2.8 to 3.3.0 = is it possible?

I used Auto-update to go 3.2.8 to 3.3.0 on 4 of my forums. It is the recommended method of updating your board only in case core phpBB files have been modified. In my case I have modified a few files and took the risk. The only problem I ran into is that I had to copy the new .htaccess file back ove...

Re: Google Search Console issue

I did a 3.3.0 update yesterday and today Google sent me a warning email with the exact same issue. I don't know what the issue is, but I'm subscribing to this topic to stay in the loop.

Re: Is phpBB going to be ready for Google's rel=ugc nofollow?

Well, you could open a ticket at the tracker and see what the devs think about that. I was not aware of that process, I will look into that. There are boards where selected accounts do not have user generated content, but instead automated. Typically those accounts are called "bots" (but are unrela...

Is phpBB going to be ready for Google's rel=ugc nofollow?

I searched but didn't see an existing topic. First the background: https://webmasters.googleblog.com/2019/09/evolving-nofollow-new-ways-to-identify.html Today, we’re announcing two new link attributes that provide webmasters with additional ways to identify to Google Search the nature of particular ...

Re: [3.2][RC] Auto-Resize Images Server-side

This extension is working quite well, thanks! I've had to tweak the settings a bit here and there because people upload such big files but I think I have it optimized now?? 900px width/height restriction and 50000 bytes restriction triggers it.

Thanks, I'll give it a try. I may make a test copy of that table and try it there first now that I think about it.

Re: Attachment photos are eating up my hard drive space

Thanks, I have installed that to see if it helps. The weird thing here is that prior to 3.2.4 upgrade I see it was, the photos that got uploaded as attachments were automatically resized (the main photos, not thumbnails) to a maximum size. Since then they are uploaded full size. Here are my settings...
