Re: [3.2][3.3][RC] Thanks for posts (and optional Tapatalk integration)

Thank you for a great mod. Been using it live for a while now with no hassles. Busy updating to latest version.

Referring to this post viewtopic.php?p=14996171#p14996171, are these instructions for the text change from 'Thanks' to 'Like', still current and valid?

Re: Is my forum being scraped?

Resolved my last issue by blocking China outright.

Now getting attacked by 17.58.100.* and a few other in that 17.58. range. Those resolve to Apple Inc. Around about 400 guests presently. Any thoughts on this?

Re: Is my forum being scraped?

I tried blocking China, but ended up with too many mails from legit forumites on layovers. Guess that's what you end up with on a forum for Pilots. They end up all over the globe.

Re: Is my forum being scraped?

When you mention bad bots, are we just talking from a sense they ignore the robots file, or that they are up to no good in indexing your site.
ie is there a downside to being indexed if it is not affecting your sites response times and performance?

Re: Is my forum being scraped?

Thanks for the responses guys. Gives me some understanding and at least know it is not too out the ordinary.
If they are bots indexing, is that not a good thing and perhaps result in some increase in real traffic?

Is my forum being scraped?

In the last month my online average stat (one on the front page) has pretty much doubled. Used to average around 200 users online for most of the day. Now has shot to 500+ at times. On my website stats number of unique users has also doubled, however the number of pages served has only slightly incr...

Re: Subject Field Format

Want posts such as global announcements to stand out a little more than they do now in the viewforum pages. Only subjects posted by admin or a mod, and not a general option for all and sundry.
