Re: admin_welcome_activated.txt doesn't get sent anymore

UPDATE:

After further testing of my forum, I discovered that this problem only occurs when I activate a user from the ACP. If I do it by email, the welcome email does get sent.

admin_welcome_activated.txt doesn't get sent anymore

Hello, I'm having a strange problem with my forum. Whenever a new user signs up, they get an email telling them that they've registered but the admin needs to activate their account (admin_welcome_inactive.txt). However, after I activate their account, they DO NOT get the email they are supposed to ...

Forum topic autoposted to Twitter

Is there a mod that takes all the posts in a specific topic on a forum and autoposts them to a Twitter account? I know there are mods that create an RSS feed from a forum topic, and then there are websites that you can use to autopost an RSS feed to Twitter, but I'm wondering if a mod exists that el...

Re: Create a new style for Unordered Lists?

Thanks for your reply, prototech.

Turns out that when I add margin-left: 35px; to my special <ul> class, it has the indent and shows the disc now. Problem solved! I guess the disc won't show unless a margin is defined.

Create a new style for Unordered Lists?

I have some pages on my website where I need to have some text in unordered lists. However, when I use <ul> <li>text<br> <li>text<br> </ul> it does not put any bullets next to the text. Apparently, the default style for <ul> in phpBB3.0.4 is to have no discs for the list items. Also, it does not ind...

Re: [Beta] Topic Ratings Mod

Question for the creator of the mod:

What happens to the topic ratings for two topics that are merged? Are the ratings for both original topics combined and averaged?

Thanks.

Re: [Beta] Topic Ratings Mod

I am very pleased with how this mod is working on my forum so far. How could it be modified so that users can change their rating after they already rated a topic? I think this would be a useful feature, since in some cases a topic might get a lot better or worse over time as the discussions proceed...

How do I change the Registration Agreement for my forum?

I need to change some of the text in the user agreement for my forum. AGREEMENT_TITLE and AGREEMENT_TEXT are called in ucp_agreement.html template, but I can't find them defined anywhere in the language folder or in the includes folder. Does anybody know which file I have to go into to change these ...

How do I change style for Information redirect pages?

I'm wondering how to change the style for the pages that come up for a few seconds, provide Information to the user, and automatically redirect -- e.g. when a user logs in or logs out. I have looked just about everywhere in the templates and can't seem to find a template page that controls the style...

Set permissions for which users can view individual topics

I'm looking for a mod that allows the forum admin to set viewing permissions not just for which forums each user or group can view, but specifically for which topics . The default would be that only the admin and the user who started the topic can view it, until the admin assigns viewing permissions...

If anybody wants to use stars instead of circles, here is a full star and a half star that can be substituted for the images in the mod: http://www.councilofwisdom.org/styles/prosilver/imageset/icon_topic_rating.gif http://www.councilofwisdom.org/styles/prosilver/imageset/icon_topic_rating_half.gif ...

Re: [Beta] Topic Ratings Mod

I went ahead and installed the mod so I have the answers to my questions because I can see it working on my forum. Overall, it's an excellent mod and looks good. Thanks for making it! I did make new rating icons -- 6x6 pixels instead of 10x10 -- because I found them to be too large. A suggestion for...

Re: Voting mod - Hide or highlight posts depending on votes

There are already some mods for rating posts. For example, this one: http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=70&t=645855 That mod is very buggy and has been abandoned by the author. I think that there are no other mods for rating posts. I think I saw another post rating mod a while back,...

Modifying/improving abandoned "(Topic &) Post Rating System"

Well, I just read through the entire thread about that post rating mod I mentioned above, and found out that it has not yet been tested on a fresh install of phpBB3.0.4. It was originally designed for 3.0.1. Some code changes would probably be needed. Unfortunately, the author of that mod abandoned ...
