Re: Full Update from 3.2.5 to 3.2.7 became a clean install

Thanks for the tips. It was 644 before I set it to +write. I am going to try a couple of things. (I have everything backed up so I don't need to worry about losing anything. I may even throw the folder into a "test" folder with a "test" instance of the DB to keep trying to figure out what is messed ...

Re: Full Update from 3.2.5 to 3.2.7 became a clean install

THANKS for the reply. I thought of that. In fact...for this time around, it gave me an error that config.php was not writeable. So before I changed the permissions, I could see that it was my original config.php. I thought it was strange that it wanted to write to the config...but I thought...why no...

Re: Full Update from 3.2.5 to 3.2.7 became a clean install

OK. So when I looked in the DB, I saw that all of the messages are still there. So I just moved the files back, (without touching the DB), and I have access to everything back on 3.2.5, and that is without restoring the DB. So, now all I need to figure out is how to do the update without zeroing out...

Re: 403 Forbidden on posting.php

Thanks for this. I just had the same problem. Everything was fine on my site until my host moved me to Apache 2. Lots of stuff broke, and I am going through the pages fixing things one by one. While I am doing this, I am archiving my old code in a "admin only" forum in case I ever need it again late...

Re: [split] {REQUEST} - Topics Anywhere for phpBB 3.x.

I just downloaded 3.1.2 to give it a shot. Looks like I can't help until my host updates to php 5.3.3+. My host is at 5.2.17.

I see if I can get it to work with 3.0.x out of the box.

I have removed the restriction blocking RU from my domain. You should be able to access the page now.

Re: [split] {REQUEST} - Topics Anywhere for phpBB 3.x.

I have a hacked up version of Topics Anywhere that works with phpBB 3.X. You can see it in action here : www.njlanparty.com. I think you can do what you want by calling Topics Anywhere multiple times with different parameters. I am working packaging up my modifications but every time I try, I seem t...

Re: {REQUEST} - Topics Anywhere for phpBB 3.x.

Actually...yes. I have a new version (5). And honestly, I have forgotten what doesn't work. I think the RSS stuff works now, but I'm not sure. I would be glad to help anyone get it working though. Also, if anyone has those templates from a few posts up, I could include them in the zip. The download ...

Re: {REQUEST} - Topics Anywhere for phpBB 3.x.

Ok, I'm not done yet. I still have a problem (among others) getting the selected forums to appear in the display results page.

Let's see what I can get done tomorrow.

Re: {REQUEST} - Topics Anywhere for phpBB 3.x.

I am so close. I had a power outage tonight and lost all my markers I created for the past few days. So I started over and started fresh. I now have the page working from beginning to end, including the part that displays the link at the end. Right now the only problem is the part of the string that...

Re: {REQUEST} - Topics Anywhere for phpBB 3.x.

Sorry it didn't work, but I think we'll get there. First thing was a bunch of errors complaining about missing language files so I changed the /en_us/ to /en/ which worked. Then the main form came up with no formatting (this is probably because the tpl files only work on the old template), not a maj...

Re: {REQUEST} - Topics Anywhere for phpBB 3.x.

Ok...so here it goes. The code below is to modify the Topics_Anywhere.php file from phpbb v2 to v3. Please backup everything before you begin, and proceed at your own risk. Please keep in mind. This modification WILL NOT allow you to change your Topics_Anywhere link. That part does not work. All thi...
