Re: Editing post doesnt mark post as edited

If you do want to make phpBB3 mark edits all round: Head to includes/functions_posting.php Find: if ($data['post_edit_reason'] || (!$auth->acl_get('m_edit', $data['forum_id']) && ($post_mode == 'edit' || $post_mode == 'edit_first_post'))) Replace with: if ($data['post_edit_reason'] || $post_mode == ...

Re: Editing post doesnt mark post as edited

Unfortunately that won't update the edit count if a moderator edits and doesn't change the edit reason (I found that giving a reason, and then removing it, made 2 edits).

I'm heading into posting.php in a minute to see what's going on.

Re: New post count on index

Here's some PHP to count the number of new posts. That was new posts since last visit. However I think phpBB3 now flags topics between sessions? So if you want a total unread count, get rid of user_lastvisit and replace with user_lastmark: $postcount = 0; $forumTrackQuery = $db->sql_query('SELECT *...

Re: New post count on index

Here's some PHP to count the number of new posts. I make no claims that this is efficient in any way... but it works as far as I know! I have what is probably considered to be a quiet board, maybe 100 posts per day, so it's not too much work for my server. I'm sure there's a way of doing most of thi...

I don't wish to start a new thread, since this is the same issue that's been pointed out on my board.

If (in this forum) you search for, say, "bill or bob", and set the search to only display posts, and return all characters of the post, you'll get a screen similar to the one above.

I've used the dev211ch zip to test the board (today's version, just to check); I get the following error when trying to run the /install_cat/install.php: Critical Error! message_die() was called multiple times. Error #1 SQL requests not achieved Line : 222 File : /www/usr/rselby/phpBB2/includes/clas...

That's because there's a 13/14 character limit in the database for the time string.

I don't get any "language management" page in the acp from installing this mod; maybe it's interfered with another of your mods?

This is a great mod, just what I've been looking for. I've found fixes for two bugs listed above... // all in merge.php // won't update title bug... If you get both running at the same time then: I'd suggest taking a copy of the files across first, then once they're up, lock the first forum, take a backup, and upload the backup at the new forum, that should work. If you don't get them both running together, then just take the backup but lock the...
