Re: code error help me plz

Sounds like that needs to go in your forum's template, not the PHP file.

Re: A lot of mods in phpbb 2

When the phpBB3 converter trys taking data from the screen name field of AIM on my phpBB2 board, and finds no such instance in the database, will it run into a problem? I went into phpMyAdmin and deleted any columns or references to anything like that ("drop" command I think it is, rather than just ...

Re: A lot of mods in phpbb 2

If someone bookmarked a thread when the board was phpBB2, and then the board gets converted to phpBB3, will everything point to the same place? My concern is about Google finding everything. I will have to take a look and get it setup, but from the way you described it, it sounds as if the address o...

A lot of mods in phpbb 2

Hi! It's been awhile since I have done anything with phpBB. Looks like it is time to update to phpBB 3 for me. How has the upgrade process been for everyone who had a phpbb 2 board with a lot of mods? Anything to keep in mind or do? I plan on doing a test board and then moving the db over but figure...

Re: Did my host upgrade PHP or mySQL?

Do I have to do that on all of the PHP pages, or is there some code I can run in phpMyAdmin that will do something for the database? Thanks.

Re: Did my host upgrade PHP or mySQL?

Is this because of something my host did? Should I ask them to change any settings?

Re: Did my host upgrade PHP or mySQL?

I just looked on google and found that... what do I do with: FROM (phpbb_topics t, phpbb_users u, phpbb_posts p, phpbb_users u2 LEFT JOIN phpbb_posts p3 ON p3.topic_id = t.topic_id AND p3.poster_id = 2) WHERE to FROM (phpbb_topics t, phpbb_users u, phpbb_posts p, phpbb_users u2) LEFT JOIN phpbb_post...

Re: Did my host upgrade PHP or mySQL?

Nothing changed on my end, since I haven't made any code changes in awhile.

Since what you gave me has a forum number and user number, I don't know if that will work since it's a different number on each forum when I get the error.

Did my host upgrade PHP or mySQL?

I started getting these errors the other day: Could not obtain topic information DEBUG MODE SQL Error : 1054 Unknown column 't.topic_id' in 'on clause' SELECT t.*, u.username, u.user_id, u2.username as user2, u2.user_id as id2, p.post_time, p.post_username, p3.poster_id AS my_reply_id FROM (phpbb_to...

Wiki addon for my phpBB board?

Is there a mod out there that will add a Wiki for my users to edit and use? Thanks.

What code do I need to change so the signature box does not show up to guests when they are registering? Thanks.

Re: keep unread flags

Let's reviiw the bidding here. After you asked a confusing question, I said: It is true that phpbb without the mod shows the text 'no new posts' to a guest when a guest hovers the mouse over that image...is that what you are complaining about? If so, that has nothing to do with this mod but it shou...

Re: keep unread flags

Sorry I wasn't clear, I tried explaining it to the best of my ability. I will give that a try, thanks. BTW, by getting rid of the images, I will be saving about 11KB on each viewforum.php page, and I will save about 5KB on my main index.php forums page. It might not equal to that because of caching,...

Re: keep unread flags

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. I can't edit the .tpl because there is something already there surrounding the image, so I can't use the code for saying somebody is logged in/logged out to make it show/not show. If you're just trying to get rid of the alt text that comes up when a guest moves ...
