Re: Upgrading from 3.0.0 to 3.0.5 (I know, I'm a bad boy)

I don't THINK I added any MODs when I upgraded to 3.0.0, but is there a way for me to check? The only thing I MIGHT have done is a MOD for a mobile view of the forum.

And who knows - by now, there might be a better MOD for that anyway!

Upgrading from 3.0.0 to 3.0.5 (I know, I'm a bad boy)

I am WAY overdue to update my forum (and hope it will slow down the current wave of spammers I'm getting).

Wanted to do the Automatic Update feature, but see that the files are for 3.0.4 ---> 3.0.5

What is the recommended procedure for upgrading all the way from .0 to .5?

Thanks!

Re: Can the length of a topic title be increased?

Thanks! I had a feeling someone else might have asked the same question, but when trying to search, I wasn't using the same terms as that person did!

Appreciate the help!

Can the length of a topic title be increased?

Is there a setting in one of the files that can be modified to allow the title of a post to be a little longer? I like to post news items to my forum, and if I copy the title out of my blog and paste it in to the forum post, it truncates the title and looks stupid. Would like it to be a dozen or so ...

...the header is an image file... find: http://img395.imageshack.us/img395/8964/mob1sz9.gif and replace it with your image url (dont make it big) ;) I already did that, and I also edited the title in the Overall_Header.html file to read <title>Windows Mobile Louisville</title>, yet the image is sti...

Re: [RC1] WAP Browser Style

Any idea how to make auto-detection work with this? In other words, how can you make it so that it will detect if you are using a mobile browser, then use the WAP template? Check out the previous pages - you'll see this is a feature that will be added later. We asked Soundboy to skip that for now, ...

Re: [RC1] WAP Browser Style

Soundboy, I truly appreciate your work on this! THANK YOU! I will donate to you once I get back from holiday (and have a fresh paycheck!). A few questions/comments: I think the install instructions in your read me file could use a little more clarity, particularly for the less-proficient forum owner...

Re: [DEV] WAP Browser Style

Let's not rush him into making mistakes! 8-)

With the exception of the few actual donations he will receive, this is basically done for free, so we can't complain!

Re: [DEV] WAP Browser Style

I'm hip to installing the MOD without the detection, then upgrading it once you have time to add that feature.
If it's ready otherwise, my vote is to let us give it a whirl! :)

Re: [DEV] WAP Browser Style

Ditto on the donation! Will gladly support your effort! I used to have a ChangeStyle MOD on version 2 of the forum and my mobile forum was VERY popular with viewers. I miss it bad and so do the viewers! Thanks in advance for your hard work and providing a viable mobile solution! Matt WindowsMobileLo...

First off, GREAT MOD! Thank you for putting this together! I used to have a MOD with version 2 of phpBB, and I've missed having a feed since upgrading the forum a while back. I obtained the most current version on Friday (June 6) and got it up & running on my forum with no problems. One thing that I...

Need help moving forum from old to new Server - SQL too big

I moved my site from one server to another, and I kinda messed up: I did not do a backup of the forum before the domain name changed, so now I essentially cannot get to the forum on the old server! I still have full access to the old server, so I copied all the directories and files over, but when i...

Re: How to delete a post that's causing Fatal Error

Out of interest what was the exact content of the post? It was two sentences, talking about the iPhone skin, then the link was provided. I am going to break it up in this post, because I don't want to potentially cause the same thing to happen here as did with my forum! The URL was http:// www. i-h...
