Re: Password encryption

It's a completely different database. Will it mess up phpBB if I tell it to select a different database?

Re: Password encryption

Alright,

Now I need to insert username, username clean, password, and email into another database apart from the phpBB database upon user registration

How would I go about this?

P.S. Should I make a separate topic?

Re: Password encryption

So I would get their "hash" from the database? And of course the password would be their input?

Re: Password encryption

I need to take a user's input and get it like how phpBB has it stored in the database.

I will be taking the user's input and making sure that password matches the password in the phpBB database.

Password encryption

Hello,

I am integrating phpBB and I need to get the passwords encrypted as phpBB does to check them in the database.

I tried the phpbb_hash() function, but it's just completely random?

Integration

What's the best way to go about web site integration? I would need to be able to pull information from the SQL database. Like, to decide if a user is a member, admin, moderator, etc.

Thanks!

MyBB 1.4.4 -> phpBB

I don't care about an official converter. My question is, is there any way to reasonably convert myBB to phpBB manually? If it will take hours of work, it's fine. I just WANT phpBB. Is there any way whatsoever, under any circumstances I can get the members (don't care about passwords), topics, and p...

Well? This community is usually the fastest to jump on things. Is it totally impossible to convert or something?
