Re: [BETA] phPKG - MOD installer with repositories & packages

Hello all! :) I was away for a long time, but now it is the time to continue the work. I've placed the project where everyone can watch and track it: http://sourceforge.net/projects/phpkg/ You can submit bugs as well as feature requests directly there. You can download the dev3 version. You will be ...

Re: [BETA] phPKG - MOD installer with repositories & packages

I promise that I will squash any person that will post that error without reading my notes in the first post with my twisted-minded cat ! And for those interested in the MOD: thanks! It's now maturing. :) Many fixes has been implemented and with “almost final” method of MODs removal I will...

Re: Probelm getting a PHP Include to work

My guess is following: you are using include in header, and you want to use some variables in footer. But processing templates is (probably - I don't have time to check it now¹) done within some member function and it means that all variables set or included in code have only local scope (actually f...

Re: [BETA] phPKG - MOD installer with repositories & packages

You need PHP5, I think I have to write it in bold in the first post. ;)

Re: [BETA] phPKG - MOD installer with repositories & packages

Check if directories /cache/phpkg/* are created (their permissions should allow PHP to write there). If they are created, check for existence of .tar.gz file(s) in /cache/phpkg/pkg.

Re: [BETA] phPKG - MOD installer with repositories & packages

Hello all! I moved recently and I had no Internet access. ;) I will try to post the most recent version tommorow. About error above: if the `system call`-type functions are disabled for some stupid reason, you have to select “Unpacking via PHP” as unpacking method and it should be OK.

Re: [BETA] phPKG - MOD installer with repositories & packages

I will do as much autodetection as I can, but I will also encourage authors to include file basetheme.txt with name of base template. It could be recursive (prosilver -> foostyle -> foobartemplate).

Re: [BETA] phPKG - MOD installer with repositories & packages

Automated download of styles and languages is already planned. And about templates: it would be a very nice feature to insert into template config name of the base template. Styles authors should be able to put one extra line. ;) Fo those having problems with unzipping uploaded MODs: try to install ...

Re: [BETA] phPKG - MOD installer with repositories & packages

It will have separate pages in ACP in some future version. :) Processing “per-style” XML is in dev4 todo. As well as applying MODs to new styles (and new languages). The bug you are talking about is fixed in dev4 by generating “kernel panic” in such situation. However, with all basic features implem...

Re: [BETA] phPKG - auto-installer, repositories, packages

JBosman : this may be a good idea, I'll slightly modify the title. nanothree : maybe the unzipping process failed? You should see if files are in directory that is stored in log. Unziping with system calls has been upgraded in dev4 versions, so it might work in future. And also, try to use unzippin...

Re: [BETA] phPKG - auto-installer, repositories, packages

Well, there is little interest about this project, so I probably should not rush with it. However, I'm still adding new features to it.

Actually I've made a gallery with screenshots from all versions where you can see progress. ;)

phPKG - additional commands

Hey, I need your feedback. ;) I'm implementing several new MODX commands, and I would like you to tell me what do you think about them, and also if you have any further idea about new command, please tell me as well. PHP - simply execute given file (such command would be processed last) ADD-MODULE -...
