How to enable subforum display in the board index?

Hello,

I am using prosilver style and would like to access subforums directly from the board index. But on my board the subforums are not displayed - only categories with no parent and forums in these categories but not their subforums). How to make the subforums visible?

Re: Creating Styles and Templates. Tools, Tipps, Tricks?

Thanks guys. The firebug was a good tip, I was using it already but was unaware about the CSS-analyze-function. I am also using phpDesigner now, which (...is not free, buggy and slow but...) has the ability to open the appropriate CSS file when you Ctrl+Click on a class-name in an HTML-file (it simp...

Re: Black/White line on top of boxes with rounded corners

D.h. auf die nächste Version von Opera warten oder gibt es auch einen Fix für das Problem? (Unter den genannten Link wird nur davon berichtet aber keine Lösung angeboten.)

Black/White line on top of boxes with rounded corners

Hello,

often Opera and Chrome show a black (Opera) or white (Chrome) line on top of the boxes with rounded corners on prosilver and prosilver SE. Is this a known issue and is there a solution/fix for that?

Re: First post on every page

Now, having invested more time in understanding the code I assume that this is an actual bug: Source of $topic_first_post_show is $_POST Source of $post_data['topic_first_post_show'] is the SQL-Table (or the initial value spec. in the code) When we use the preview function, the code for updating the...

Permissions: only reply to existing topics, do not allow new

Hello,

how can I set permissions of role or forum such that users can reply to existing posts and topics but are not able to create new topics?

Re: First post on every page

Thanks for the advise. If you know that it is there it is easier to find it. ...I haven't noticed the separate xml with template changing instructions (wrongly assuming that the checkboxes are stored in an array somehow, thus the absence of template changing instructions looked plausible to me). Nev...

Re: Optional Extra-Fields in a Topic

I have found this mod here:
http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... &t=1435045

But this is still a beta version and does not seem to be very active... Is there any release of a similar mod?

Since I am actively developing on my board I even completely disabled the cache (using the cache disable mod).

Optional Extra-Fields in a Topic

Hello, is there a mod for adding extra fields to a topic? E. g. when you have a software support forum, you might want users to select their operating system and the version of the software they are using when writing a new topic, instead of requiring them to type in this data manually. An additiona...

Re: Adding new images to style

If you want to use language dependent image files in CSS, use T_IMAGESET_LANG_PATH for that:

Code: Select all

background-image: url("{T_IMAGESET_LANG_PATH}/buttons.gif");
Store the image file in the appropriate folders, e. g.:
styles/prosilver/imageset/en/buttons.gif
styles/prosilver/imageset/de/buttons.gif

How to set AND read cookies? request_var does not work?

Hello, I want to let my guests to make a particular setting on the board which should remain even if the ip (and thus the session_id?) of the guest changes. For that, I want to use a cookie: $user->set_cookie('mysetting', 123, time() + 31536000); // function request_var($var_name, $default, $multiby...

What activities does phpBB logs?

Hello, I would like to analyze the behavior of the visitors of my website and for that I would like to log every action that can be logged, from visiting the site as a guest to logging on and continuing browsing or leaving the site. The log system of phpBB3 does not seem to provide this does it? Are...

Re: Breadscrumbs Depth > 4: B-index ‹ ‹ ‹ Current Forum ??!

All right, thanks for your answers. Now, knowing that there is indeed no documentation to phpBB, I have a stronger motivation to understand the code myself.
