Exactly what I was looking for - thanks.

Vic, thanks for your suggestion too. I'll keep that bookmarked for my other boards. :D

Changing the "currently unavailable" message

I've got a pretty simple question that I haven't been able to find an answer to through searching here or via Google, and it might possibly be because I don't know exactly what to search for. How do I change the text of the unavailable notice? I refer to the text that comes up when you disable a php...

Just a word of encouragement for anyone too is thinking about the upgrade - I just did it on 3 different forums and it was very easy, and I've never messed with anything in phpBB other than modify TPL files - no mods, nuthin. I had zero problems. Do exactly what redfox_wg said in his recap post and ...

... so maybe the mySQL-server process has died on your hosting server? Did you try to connect to your database using phpmyadmin? If this works .. O.K. that would be weird, but if not ... call your hoster and ask them to bring the mySql-server back up! Cheers and good luck, Manfred. Many thanks for ...

I should add that both forums have been working fine with zero problems for several months and I haven't made any changes to any databases.

There are modifications for this, try searching the mod release/development forums for 'Global Announcement' - I think you may be able to use Sticky topics as well. 2.2 will allow you to post global announcements in the standard feature set. Great - thanks very much. I located a Global Announcement...

Posting a sticky to multiple forums

I would like to be able to post a sticky to all (or multiple) fora / forums. How is this done? I've searched the MODs, FAQ, and the forums here (the later gives me an error and says to try again). Any ideas?

Many thanks for any help.
