Small world! :D

I have replied over at WHT, but looking at your website I feel that you don't really need a VPS, you would require some linux experience if you have a VPS. If you do not currently have any, I would stick with a shared environment for now until your website grows larger.

Setup phpbb on subdomain

I have created subdomain forums, set forums in the config and renamed the folder to forums.

All is well when you login from website.com/forums but when you login from forums.website.com
when it logs in it directs you to website.com/forums. I want it to stay on the forums.website.com

Any idea?

No it is not auto pruning. You can still read the topic upto the page where it gives this error

Re-download it from the old area, as a gzip file in phpmyadmin and try again,
or create a full backup of your account and download; in the mysql or sql folder
you should see the database.

Can you open the database on your computer in a text editor?
