Showing inactive users in Member Groups

We've got a Member Group (hidden) that is for members paying an annual subscription to our car club A few folks who have yet to log on to the board have already paid subs and we'd like the Group that they are in to show their name right from the start. Try as I might with edits to membergroup.php , ...

Hidden groups - hiding from members too

Evening folks We've got a hidden group for people paying a subscription. We've set it up as hidden so that there's not a "them and us" feeling, but we'd also like to ensure that members who are paying subs can't see fellow members of their group, so need to hide the hidden group from it's own member...

Using USER_ID in search

Hi folks I'm making a few site specific edits to our FAQ, and while there, want to make it as easy as possible for users to find their own posts. I've pointed them to UCP>Front Page then "Show your posts" which links to, in my case /search.php?author_id=55&sr=posts I need a way to replicate this for...

Re: [SOLVED] locked out of my own forum!!

Found this thread as I have the same issue! Just been forced to move server as the current hosts have closed down for no stated reason :( I've got a copy of everything on the new server, files via Filezilla and DB via phpMyadmin, have changed the nameservers, but now I can't log on. I've tried the "...

Re: Copying UCP profile tab

Cheers Neil!

I'll give the hiding fields thing a go and see how it pans out. I'll be chuffed if it works, although I doubt anyone will actually notice! ;)

Re: Copying UCP profile tab

Thinking about it, did you use something like popping all the CPF's you wanted in one visible panel, and all the rest in another, defining it something like <div ID="notshown" style="display:none"> This might work....? Luckily I'd not released the new modules for general use, and was still testing t...

Re: Copying UCP profile tab

Hi Neil So are you saying that you created individual modules, put all the CPF's (and standard profile fields) on them, but only displayed the ones you wanted each module to allow editing on, thus each time a submission was made, it did the lot? (Using the example of 20 CPF's spilt over four modules...

Re: Customize UCP fields

We had a need to do something drastic with our CPF's as we have so many that the standard Profile Page in the UCP was getting a little unweildy So, using the advice in the Post 2 above, I was able to create new modules and set up these to carry a smaller number of the CPF's each. However, I have sin...

Re: Add UCP Module for Custom Profile Fields

Hi Neil Ref the post above - did you get this sorted? (ie the issue of resetting of data) I've been looking for a solution to pretty much the same problem as you originally had for ages. We have so many CPF's that I needed to split them into a number of pages/tabs in the UCP. I managed to come up wi...

Re: Copying UCP profile tab

Thanks once again for pointing me in the right direction with this! I was, of course, getting myself into knots by slavishly making edits copied from the linked thread, to the ucp_main.php files when I should have been looking at the ucp_profile.php files as you suggested! Anyway, I did manage to cr...

Re: Copying UCP profile tab

Okidoke, many thanks

I had a feeling that's where I should be looking, but nice to know for sure. Hopefully if I can get my head round this I'll be able to use the new page and then work on the editing :)

Re: Copying UCP profile tab

OK.......

Can you suggest where I could have a sneaky look at the plans? :D

(happy to do the building work myself, but if someone could pass me some wood and nails it'd be appreciated!)
